“I spent several years organizing public campaigns and congresses before moving into tourism and wedding planning, managing award-winning venues like Santorini Gem. In 2021, I founded JP Destination Weddings to bring my expertise to couples seeking unforgettable celebrations in Greece and Italy.”

However, I’m always open to exploring new venues that align with my couples’ visions. I ensure that each venue I suggest perfectly matches the couple's style, whether they desire a luxurious, rustic, or intimate setting!”
On handling vendor contracts:
“My main advice is to read contracts carefully and ensure everything, from deliverables to payment terms, is clearly outlined. Selecting vendors without knowing how they work together can lead to issues. I always recommend couples consult with their planner on vendor selection to ensure a smooth, well-coordinated day.”
On weather contingencies:
“My main advice is to always have a backup plan in place, especially if you're planning an outdoor wedding. Even if the weather looks perfect on the day, it’s important to be prepared for unexpected changes.”
Planners know their region well and can provide guidance on indoor alternatives when necessary.
Biggest challenge faced:
“COVID was definitely a particular challenge, but I was proud to see the full support and flexibility from the Greek vendors toward couples during that time. Some couples went ahead with their original plans and were rewarded with a ‘newfound liberty in Santorini,’ while others chose to postpone. Regardless of the decision, every couple was able to have their beautiful day in the sun.”
On budgeting:
“To help couples stay on budget, my main advice is to prioritize what matters most to them and allocate their budget accordingly. It’s all about making smart choices, cutting out unnecessary extras, and focusing on what will truly make their wedding day memorable while keeping costs in check.”
On structuring the wedding day:
“My main advice when creating a timeline is to build in enough time for each activity and leave room for flexibility. A well-structured timeline ensures that everything—from hair and makeup to the ceremony and reception—flows smoothly.”
Factoring in buffer time allows couples to savor the day without feeling rushed.
“A good timeline helps everyone stay on track but also allows for those beautiful spontaneous moments to unfold naturally.”
