Some wedding companies are born from trends. Others are built from legacy.
TCD Eventos belongs to the second category.

“Our story began in 1982, founded by Thaís de Carvalho Dias, a true pioneer of the wedding industry in Rio de Janeiro,” says Naldo Turl. “TCD Eventos was born from the warmth of family celebrations, grew with elegance and excellence, and today carries over 40 years of history and more than 4,000 weddings — in Brazil and abroad.”

At a time when wedding planning was not yet a structured profession in Brazil, Thaís helped shape the standards of the industry. From intimate family celebrations to complex, large-scale productions, the company evolved while staying rooted in hospitality, tradition, and emotional awareness.

From The First Wedding To Thousands Of Unforgettable Celebrations

The earliest weddings planned by TCD were grounded in Brazilian family culture — long dinners, emotional ceremonies, and gatherings where generations came together.

“What inspired us to become wedding planners was the understanding that a wedding is never just a party,” Naldo shares. “It’s a moment where families meet, stories merge, and emotions surface. That responsibility stays with you forever.”

Over the decades, TCD Eventos expanded its reach beyond Brazil, producing weddings across Portugal, Italy, Argentina, the United States, and other destinations — always adapting to local culture while preserving the brand’s signature precision and elegance.

Three Partners, One Shared Vision

Today, TCD Eventos is led by three partners, each bringing a distinct strength to the same philosophy.

Thaís de Carvalho Dias, the founder, represents the soul of the brand. Her work reflects timeless elegance, intuitive hospitality, and the family spirit that defines TCD’s identity.

Naldo Turl, wedding planner and events executive, leads high-end productions and destination weddings with strategic precision. He also manages institutional event rentals at two of Rio de Janeiro’s cultural landmarks — EAV Parque Lage and Museum of Modern Art (MAM Rio) — integrating heritage, scale, and operational excellence into every project.

Patrícia “Pati” Teixeira brings an unmatched level of refinement and calm leadership. After 14 years at the Belmond Copacabana Palace, she mastered luxury service standards and flawless execution, ensuring each celebration runs smoothly from start to finish.

“TCD is more than a company,” Naldo explains. “It’s a legacy of family, beauty, and impeccable hospitality.”

What Truly Excites Them About Wedding Planning

After more than four decades in the industry, passion remains at the core of TCD’s work.

“What I love most about wedding planning is the thrill of creating something truly unforgettable,” says Naldo.

The team has a particular love for large-scale weddings with more than 500 guests, where complex logistics, major structures, and precise coordination turn the event into a grand production.

“There’s something magical about the energy of a large celebration,” he adds, “where every detail must work perfectly together.”

At the same time, TCD is equally inspired by intimate destination weddings. “Traveling to other countries to create a celebration gives us butterflies in the stomach,” Naldo shares. “It reminds us why we love what we do.”

A Philosophy Built On One Uncompromising Word: Impeccable

Our philosophy is simple but powerful: everything must be impeccable.

For TCD Eventos, perfection is the result of thoughtful planning, strong relationships with partners, and clear, honest communication with each couple.

“We want our clients to feel safe and fully understood,” Naldo explains. “Only then can we transform their vision into something unforgettable.”

Whether the celebration is grand or intimate, every element must work in harmony — with precision, beauty, and soul.

Full-Service Planning, Without Formulas

TCD Eventos offers full-service wedding planning, covering every stage of the process — from the first idea to the final moment of the celebration.

Their services include strategic planning, supplier curation, budget and timeline management, logistics, guest list organization, production flow, and full wedding-day coordination.

“We don’t offer pre-set packages,” Naldo clarifies. “We don’t sell catering, décor, or music. Everything is built from scratch.”

Beyond the wedding day, the team also plans rehearsal dinners, weekend events, guest concierge services, and full destination wedding logistics.

“For us, wedding planning is about more than organization,” he says. “It’s about creating timeless experiences — made to measure, never out of a box.”

A Wedding That Will Never Be Forgotten

Among thousands of celebrations, one wedding remains especially close to the team’s heart.

Daniel and Mateus’ wedding was a grand celebration for 500 guests, built entirely at Daniel’s family home. The structure took over a month to complete, involving suppliers from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, complex logistics, and detailed coordination.

“The most special part,” Naldo recalls, “is that Daniel was the decorator of his own wedding.”

He transformed the space into a breathtaking setting reminiscent of a Versailles Palace, creating a celebration that was emotional, bold, and deeply personal.

“This kind of wedding is exactly what we love,” Naldo says. “Big, complex, full of meaning.”

Handling Life’s Most Delicate Moments

Not all challenges are logistical.

During a wedding with 850 guests near Búzios, the groom’s grandmother suddenly passed away shortly after the ceremony.

In silence and with deep respect, Thaís managed the situation behind the scenes — protecting the couple, the guests, and the dignity of the family.

The family later said, ‘She left in the happiest moment of our lives. Thank you for protecting that memory for us'

“That moment marked us forever,” Naldo reflects. “It reminded us that being a wedding planner isn’t only about beauty — it’s about holding people’s stories with care.”

Budget, Trust, And Honesty

For TCD Eventos, staying on budget begins with clarity.

“Our first step is understanding exactly how much the couple wants to invest,” Naldo explains. “When that’s clear from the beginning, we can plan strategically and avoid surprises.”

The team focuses on smart planning rather than cutting corners — setting priorities, curating the right suppliers, and managing timelines with precision.

“My biggest advice is simple,” he adds. “Be transparent with your wedding planner. The more we know, the better we can build something beautiful and realistic.”

Advice For Couples And Future Planners

For couples currently planning their wedding:
“Stay true to what matters to you as a couple. This day belongs to you. Trust your planner and enjoy the journey.”

For those starting a career in events:
“Study — and never lose the sense of tradition. Trends change, but what lasts is emotion, ritual, and heritage.”

Dream Venues That Still Inspire

Even after decades in the industry, dreams remain alive.

For Naldo Turl, it’s the Palais Garnier in Paris or a grand hotel overlooking Central Park in New York City.
For Thaís de Carvalho Dias, a celebration by the iconic pool of the Belmond Copacabana Palace.
For Patrícia Teixeira, a grand palace in London, rich with classic architecture and royal charm.

Each of these places carries a soul. That’s what makes a wedding truly unforgettable.
