Some people discover their calling by chance. Others, by design. For the founder of Luxury Wedding Sicily, it was both.
“My own wedding in Taormina, Sicily. It was a full-blown cultural and fashion experience—Dolce & Gabbana had just done a shoot there with Monica Bellucci, and I wore Sicilian lace straight off the runway,” she shares.
But it wasn’t just the beauty of the moment—it was the joy of her guests and the thrill of orchestrating an unforgettable event.
“Seeing my international guests light up with joy during the reception at San Domenico (former Monastery immersed in ancient garden with Etna and sea view and 2 Michelin Star Chef) convinced me: I wanted to create that magic for others. Funny enough, vendors kept asking me if I was already a planner!”
That question sparked a journey that has now spanned over a decade—and countless dazzling weddings under the Sicilian sun.
At the core of Luxury Wedding Sicily’s philosophy lies one unwavering belief: weddings should be alive with energy and purpose. For her, it’s about directing an experience, not just planning a timeline.
“Creating immersive, themed experiences where food, design, dress code, and entertainment all move like a cinematic story—that’s what I love best about my job.”
But a cinematic event doesn’t happen by accident. It requires a clear creative vision and a couple willing to trust the process.
“This only works when couples trust the planner’s vision—and focus their budget on high-impact elements like music and show.”
Entertainment isn’t just a detail—it’s the heartbeat of every celebration she curates.
“A wedding must feel alive—no boring gaps, no ‘dead moments.’ It’s not just organization—it’s art direction on the highest level.”
Luxury Wedding Sicily offers a full spectrum of services, all fully tailored:
“Yes—from partial planning to full service and day-of coordination. Always bespoke.”
The planning journey begins with the couple’s dream, and from there, she builds a story from the ground up.
“Start with the couple’s dream. Then match it with the perfect venue, build a mood board, design concept, and bring in the right vendors to bring it to life.”
Recently, Taormina has been in high demand—not only for its cinematic charm but also its rising fame.
“Lately, Taormina is in high demand—thanks to White Lotus series HBO. But it’s not just the venue—it’s the vibe, the setting, the story around it that matters most.”
While Pinterest boards and Instagram reels offer inspiration, they don’t reveal the logistics, pressure, or precision involved. That’s where an experienced planner becomes essential—especially when couples are tempted to take on the task themselves.
“I suppose do you mean DIY? Be careful—this is your first time, but vendors work backstage every day. The wedding industry is like a fashion show: it looks stunning on the runway, but behind the scenes, it can be chaos.”
She doesn’t sugarcoat the consequences of skipping professional help.
“Instagram & Pinterest don’t show delays, cold food, or late makeup artists. And top photographers? They often avoid DIY weddings because without a planner or coordinator, the event usually falls apart in execution.”
“There’s a huge difference between a wedding with a pro and one without. Don’t gamble with your once-in-a-lifetime day.”
And when asked about the biggest challenge she’s faced?
“DIY couples who ‘know better’ but don’t. Mistrust and micromanaging ruin the process.”
Beyond the aesthetics and emotions, Luxury Wedding Sicily brings financial and logistical strategy to the table.
“I start with a full cost breakdown—venue, guests, rentals, everything. Then I find where to save without losing the wow—like reusing flowers or choosing smart local vendors.”
She’s equally pragmatic when it comes to timelines and weather backups.
“Be realistic, not idealistic. Build buffer time. Brief everyone. And know your ground—only experience teaches this.”
And while inclement weather can strike fear into any bride’s heart, there’s a formula for staying calm: planning.
With ten years of experience crafting stylish, story-driven weddings in one of the world’s most romantic regions, she leaves future couples with this grounded yet empowering advice:
“Start with your dream vision, count guests, understand your budget. Choose destination and then hire a planner before choosing a venue—you’ll avoid costly surprises.”
