For the founder of I Do in Lake Como, wedding planning isn’t just a job—it’s destiny. “What inspired me to become a wedding planner? It’s simple: I believe in love, fairy tales, and happy endings.” Growing up in the ‘90s, her imagination was shaped by Disney movies where dreams always came true, the dresses were breathtaking, and love always found a way.
With a degree in Communication and a Master’s in Fashion, she realized she could bring together everything she loved—creativity, storytelling, style, and real emotion—into one calling. “I’m obsessed with dreamy tablescapes, those deeply emotional moments, and the joyful chaos that only weddings can bring.”
She officially stepped into the world of weddings in 2015 and founded I Do in Lake Como in 2017. Since then, she’s helped countless couples create unforgettable memories in one of the most breathtaking wedding destinations on Earth. “Every love story still feels like the first one,” she shares.
One of the defining elements of I Do in Lake Como is how they craft more than just wedding days—they create immersive, joy-filled experiences. “Since our couples and their guests come from all over the world, they want 2 to 3 unforgettable days filled with joy, good food, lively music, and plenty of dancing to create the best Italian vibe party!” From rehearsal dinners and boat parties to post-wedding brunches and true Italian festas, every moment is infused with flair and emotion.
Whether you're envisioning an intimate elopement or a multi-day celebration, the company offers flexible packages to match. “We provide different packages to suit different needs and preferences,” she explains. “And we’re always happy to customize them based on the couple’s vision.”
When it comes to planning from afar, I Do in Lake Como makes communication a priority. “We stay in touch through emails, Zoom calls, and WhatsApp, and we’re always available when needed — there’s no set limit on communication.” Every couple receives a personalized experience, where flexibility, support, and trust are key. “The connection with the couple is the foundation for everything we do.”
“We work with all the venues in Lake Como, as we're locally based and have deep knowledge of each location and trusted relationships with the best local vendors.” Villa Balbianello is one of their most requested venues—but exciting news is on the horizon: I Do in Lake Como has now expanded into Sicily with their new division, I Do in Sicily.
The founder shares valuable advice about contracts: “It’s essential to ensure that everything you’ve agreed upon—whether it’s specific deliverables, timelines, or special requests—is clearly outlined in writing.” One of her top tips? “Negotiate a lower guest count on catering contracts to avoid unnecessary costs if some guests can’t attend.”
She’s quick to warn couples about a common pitfall: “Never book a venue without a backup plan or with a small space that only fits half of your guests.” Lake Como is gorgeous, but unpredictable. “A reliable Plan B is a must—trust your planner on this one.”
What’s the biggest challenge she’s faced? “When the couple doesn’t fully trust their planner and decides to book vendors on their own — or worse, doesn’t want to cover transportation costs.” Lake Como's charm can turn stressful without proper logistics, especially when it comes to moving 100 guests after a wine-fueled party. “Please let your planner handle it—you don’t want guests wandering dark, narrow streets trying to find a taxi!”
Budget management is a key part of her service. “My main advice is to set a realistic budget early on and prioritize what matters most to the couple.” With ongoing expense tracking and a flexible mindset, she guides couples to make thoughtful, stress-free choices. “It’s about honest conversations and creative solutions.”
Creating a timeline is about more than structure—it’s about preserving emotion. “It’s important to prioritize the moments that matter most so none of these feel rushed.” From lighting to speeches to the perfect photo ops, she ensures everything flows with ease. “Then we sync it with all vendors to keep everyone aligned.”
If she could give one piece of advice? “Consider hiring an expert like a wedding planner.” For destination weddings especially, having someone with local insight and experience makes all the difference. “A planner brings calm, clarity, and joy to the entire journey—so you can focus on what truly matters: celebrating your love.”
