When you step into the world of Leda Anderson Events, the first thing you feel isn’t the grandeur of a tent or the elegance of florals—it’s the warmth of empathy and genuine care. Leda’s story begins at the intersection of artistry and compassion—and it’s just as heartfelt as the weddings she designs.
“I started my business ten years ago with a real desire to mix together my love for caring for others, and creating beautiful things,” Leda tells us, her voice warm with memory. As an imaginative child, she excelled at painting and sketching—but it wasn’t until after working in hospice care that her path sharpened into focus.
She recalls the defining moment that changed everything: “We didn’t hire a planner for my own wedding … my parents told me afterward that they couldn’t really enjoy the day because everything fell on them. I never wanted any parent to feel that way.” That realization planted the seed for a business built on empathy, artistry, and peace of mind.
What Leda loves most is not the décor or logistics—it’s the people. “I absolutely love getting to care about people during such a special (and stressful) part of their lives! It’s overall such an honor.” The way she describes it, her clients are more than clients—they become family.
“As most of our events are large scale and on site at their homes, I get to feel like an extension of them and their story.” That intimacy—feeling like part of the family—is what makes her work so deeply meaningful.
If modern planners chase trends, Leda pursues legacy. “Hospitality is everything. Family (given or chosen) is so important! Caring for your loved ones and making them feel catered to…will always be most important above any design, aesthetics, trend, etc.”
It's no surprise, then, that her favorite weddings are private estate celebrations, where personal history lives in the walls and every detail feels rooted in memory.
Operating as a boutique planning firm with ten years of experience, Leda Anderson Events specializes in full-service planning and design, particularly for tented events. Each client receives dedicated attention—whether through full-service options or fully custom packages that reflect the couple’s distinct vision.
When asked about her most memorable wedding, Leda laughs softly: “How can one not say a Covid wedding?! … It’s the reschedules, the resilience of our couples (and vendors!) that stick out the most.” It’s a reminder that the weddings we remember aren’t always the flawless ones—but the ones marked by grace under pressure.
At the core of Leda’s approach? Active listening. “Most clients … want to be heard and felt seen, understood, etc. I make it my goal to take lots of time listening, and making it clear I have their best interests…at the forefront.”
Behind the scenes, she, organized, navigates the complex dance of coordinating 10–20+ teams. “That’s why wedding planners are so important—you need a ring leader! It’s always a challenge, but it’s so fun.”
To couples, she offers simple but timeless advice: “Be yourselves, and remember at the end of the day this is about you and your partner.”
And to her younger self at the start of her business she’d say, “Pay for branding! And, go to school for business.” Sometimes clarity comes with hindsight—but thankfully, her journey has flourished nonetheless.
Every planner has a dream venue. For Leda, it’s beautifully vivid: “A wedding on the east coast at their childhood home—overflowing hydrangeas required ;)” It’s an image rooted in nostalgia, family, and that delicate bloom of memory.
In a world where trends can feel fleeting and polished perfection often overshadows authenticity, Leda Anderson Events stands apart. Her work isn’t just about planning a day—it’s about honoring relationships, lifting burdens, and weaving moments of care into every celebration.
