“It came as a very natural thing. After spending many years in the tourism and event industry, we felt that something was happening — travelers were beginning to sense that Italy wasn’t just a beautiful place to visit, it could also become a meaningful destination to share with their closest friends and family. A once-in-a-lifetime backdrop for one of the most important days of their lives. That’s when we knew that we could help support that dream.”
Back then, destination weddings weren’t yet the booming industry they are today. But these two lifelong friends saw what others didn’t — and had the courage to follow it.
“Most of our friends and family thought we were dreaming a little too big, taking a risk on something that seemed like a long shot. But we had a vision, and more importantly, we had each other.”
Their friendship, which began back in high school, would become the very foundation of their business. “From the early days of figuring things out on our own to building something we are proud of today, every step has been shaped by hard work, passion, and a refusal to take shortcuts. We’ve been ‘doing our thing’ from the get-go and following our own gut and intuition — something we are deeply proud of.”
With 15 years in the wedding industry and a background steeped in tourism and events, Weddings on Demand has become a trusted name for couples around the world. But for them, it’s never just about the event. It’s about people.

“Each one has a special place in our hearts, but being based in Rome, we would say Villa Aurelia.”

“Not all contracts are created equal, especially when working across languages or with small, family-run Italian businesses that may not include every term in writing.”
They encourage couples to fully understand VAT (which varies from 10% to 22%) and to review contracts for fine print like travel fees, exclusivity clauses, and weather contingency plans.
“Be aware also of cancellation clauses, and contingency plans for weather or delays.”

“We tend to recommend venues in Italy with a solid indoor capacity — the cost of a marquee can really affect your overall budget. Italy is filled with so many beautiful venues, it's really hard to select one without a proper rain plan.”
