Some stories begin with a spark. For the founders of Amore Events Co., it started with soil, wine, and a shared dream.

“We actually started as the sales team at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards,” they shared. “We became fast work friends that grew into a genuine friendship outside of work.” From collaborating on events at the venue to navigating the intricacies of luxury operations, the foundation was built organically—layered with experience, trust, and an unshakable bond.

Though their roles spanned a variety of events, one thing quickly became clear: weddings were their calling. “Working so closely to one another on such an important day made us realize we wanted to be more intimately involved with couples.” The leap came after several years in the industry—and right into the eye of the storm. “Our first year was COVID,” they recall. “And here we are going into our sixth year as a company.”

Building Bonds Beyond the Aisle

What fuels them isn’t just the logistics—it’s the love.

“The relationships we build with our couples,” they say without hesitation. “Think of how emotional of a process it is to plan a wedding. Couples put their trust in us to hold their hand.” It’s a responsibility they carry with pride, guiding every choice with warmth, clarity, and deep care.

“Seeing these individuals that we have gotten to know so well... beaming from ear to ear—it makes it all worth it!”

Philosophy with Heart: Luxury That Feels Like Home

Amore Events Co. doesn’t just plan weddings—they craft experiences that feel elevated yet deeply personal. Their ethos?
“Elevated in ambiance but with a familiarity and warmth.”

Whether they're orchestrating an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, the approach remains rooted in emotional connection and intentional design.

What They Offer: More Than a Planner—A Partner

One of the biggest perks of working with Amore Events Co.?
“You get two planners,” they laugh. “We plan every wedding event together.”

They offer Full Planning & Design Services, Partial Planning, and even a budget consultation for couples who just need a bit of guidance. “We’ll chat in great detail, follow up with an allocation of your financials, and provide an interactive worksheet couples can keep to help along the way.”

It’s the kind of support that’s rare—and invaluable.

A Wedding to Remember

In their first year, the team took a leap of faith—and it paid off in the most unforgettable way.

“We had sold ourselves to a very influential couple. Although we were completely green at the time, they put their entire trust in us.” From planning logistics to choosing the wedding cake flavors themselves, the trust they built with this couple allowed for a completely immersive and joyful celebration.

“They were able to be fully present. That’s the dream.”

Planning with Purpose, Passion, and Professionalism

So how do they help couples find clarity in the chaos?

“We always say to our couples, ‘We are real people!’ We used to be in sales—we hate that approach. We really are ourselves, and we put our clients’ wants and needs first.”

They don’t chase trends or photo ops for clout. “We aren’t doing things just for the photos that may benefit us,” they explain. “We strive to make a friendly, supportive, and respectful atmosphere.”

Favorite Places, Dream Destinations

Naturally, they still have a soft spot for where it all started:
“Mostly Pippin Hill.” But they also take on weddings all across Virginia, plus a few dreamy destinations each year.

When asked about their ultimate dream venue? “Not any venue in particular, but we’re summer girls. We feel most at peace near the water. Coastal and chic with Southern hospitality at the heart of it—that’s our dream.”

Challenges, Lessons, and the Beauty of Growth

Like many in the industry, they’ve learned through experience.

“In the past, it was people-pleasing. We realized that when someone is paying for your services, it’s imperative to share your knowledge.” Now, instead of forcing ideas that don’t work logistically, they present seamless alternatives—and elevate the guest experience in the process.

On Budgeting and Making It Count

Their golden rule?
“Don’t go venue poor!”
“We strongly stress how important it is to keep your venue, food, and beverage to around 40–45% of your overall budget. Prioritize the items that mean the most.”

They walk couples through every vendor decision—not just what it costs, but what kind of emotional imprint it leaves.

Advice for Couples (and for Their Younger Selves)

To engaged couples currently deep in Pinterest boards and spreadsheets, their advice is gentle but firm:

“Keep your guest list to those people who are actually involved in your lives and design a wedding that is an actual reflection of you.” They caution against planning for the algorithm. “Weddings have become productions for the likes, rather than the feelings. More guests means more money. Keep it intimate and you’re guaranteed to have a good time.”

And to their past selves, they’d offer this:

“Be a team player. Try not to keep up with the Joneses. Someone will always make you feel like they’re doing bigger weddings, making more money, getting better opportunities. Be a cheerleader. Celebrate others, focus on yourself—and your own growth.”

Final Thoughts

At Amore Events Co., planning a wedding isn’t just about stunning tablescapes or intricate timelines—it’s about creating a space where love is felt, memories are made, and couples are truly seen.

And after six years (and counting), it’s safe to say: their legacy is just beginning.
