When you think of Italy, you think of timeless beauty—ancient architecture, rolling vineyards, coastal sunsets. For couples around the world, it’s the ultimate wedding canvas. But for Angela Bartolomeo, it’s more than a setting. It’s where she has spent over two decades perfecting her art of transforming love stories into immersive celebrations that marry elegance with authenticity.

Angela, the creative force behind Angela Bartolomeo Wedding Planner & Designer, has built her reputation on what she calls the Emotional Luxury Experience—an approach that blends flawless organization with soulful artistry. From Rome’s historic villas to the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast, she curates weddings that are as effortless as they are unforgettable.

From Classical Literature to Wedding Design

Angela’s journey into wedding planning was anything but ordinary.

After earning my degree in Classical Literature, I chose to follow my true passion for events and hospitality.I founded my own catering company, an experience that gave me an in-depth understanding of what lies behind a successful event—from logistics and service dynamics to the art of welcoming guests.

That foundation soon evolved into something greater. Working in exclusive venues with discerning clients refined her skills, but also sparked a realization: it wasn’t just the food or the service that fascinated her. It was the entire orchestration of beauty, emotion, and storytelling.

“From there, the transition into wedding planning was a natural step. I wanted to bring together my expertise, aesthetic sensibility, and strategic vision to create weddings that are not just beautiful celebrations, but true stories of life and love.”

The Heart of Her Work: Joy

For Angela, the reward is simple yet profound.

“The privilege of witnessing joy—what I love most is seeing a couple on their wedding day completely immersed in the moment, free from stress, knowing that everything has been cared for.”

Her style thrives on a delicate balance. “I enjoy the creative side—designing atmospheres that reflect each couple’s essence—but also the human side: listening, guiding, and building trust. For me, the best part is that balance between artistry and care.”

Emotional Luxury: More Than Planning

Two decades in the wedding industry shaped Angela’s unique philosophy.

I call it the Emotional Luxury Experience. It goes beyond logistics and organization: it embraces the emotional journey of each couple, ensuring that planning feels as meaningful and serene as the wedding day itself.

Her services are designed to be flexible. From full-service planning to design and coordination, elopements, or multi-day wedding weekends, Angela tailors her approach to match each couple’s needs.

“Beyond traditional planning, I personally design the aesthetic concept of each wedding, curate moodboards, and present visual previews so couples can ‘see’ their celebration before it happens.”

Italy’s Iconic Venues

Angela’s canvas is Italy itself.

“I work in some of Italy’s most iconic venues: historic villas in Rome, masserie in Puglia, Tuscan estates surrounded by vineyards, ancient abbeys in Umbria, and Amalfi Coast terraces overlooking the sea,” she explains.

Each region, she believes, offers its own magic. “Rome offers history and grandeur, Puglia authenticity and charm, Tuscany timeless beauty, Umbria spirituality and intimacy, while the Amalfi Coast embodies drama and romance.”

Advice Every Couple Should Hear

Angela’s years of experience come with wisdom she freely shares.

On contracts: “Clarity is essential. Every service, every responsibility, and every deadline should be clearly written into the contract. I often tell couples: what is not in writing, doesn’t exist.”

On weather: “Think about the back-up plan even before finalizing the primary design. A beautiful tent, a stunning indoor hall, or a creative design alternative can transform what might seem like a limitation into an unexpected highlight. The key is to see plan B not as a compromise, but as a second design opportunity.”

On budget: “Define priorities from the very beginning. Investing in what truly resonates with you ensures that resources are allocated with meaning.”

On timelines: “A wedding should flow like a story, with a natural rhythm. A good timeline allows for pauses, for moments to connect, and for emotions to unfold. Above all, a wedding day should never feel like a race against the clock, but like a sequence of meaningful, joyful moments.”

Turning Challenges into Magic

Every wedding has its tests. Angela recalls one vividly:

I remember a sudden summer storm in July, just as everything had already been set up outdoors. It could have been a very stressful moment, but thanks to the seamless collaboration with my trusted network of suppliers, we managed it beautifully. In the end, the storm passed and gave us an unforgettable golden hour—the atmosphere became even more magical and evocative than we could have planned.

More Than a Day: A Journey

Angela’s philosophy is rooted in authenticity and experience.

“Italy is one of the most extraordinary wedding destinations in the world—not only for its beauty, but for the richness of experiences it offers. A wedding here can be more than a single day; it can become a journey through culture, cuisine, history, and emotions.”

Her closing thought captures everything she stands for: “My philosophy is simple: I don’t just plan events. I create emotional experiences that couples and their guests will cherish for a lifetime.”
