Vivek’s foray into the world of photography began in the school corridors, inspired by the polished aesthetics of magazine covers. This early interest blossomed into a profound passion for Photoshop and conceptual photography. “What started as a hobby back in school trying to recreate magazine covers led to my interest in Photoshop and conceptual photography,” Vivek recalls. His love for travel and capturing the vivid emotions of people around him naturally transitioned into a career in wedding photography. “Over the years my love for traveling and capturing the emotions of people led me into shooting weddings, which has been quite a journey so far,” he shares.
With ten years under his belt, Vivek has refined a style that is both minimalistic and deeply aesthetic, focusing on the authenticity of the moment and the true essence of the subjects. “Aesthetic, minimal and timeless, while keeping it true to the people I am photographing,” is how Vivek describes his photography style.
Vivek’s choice of equipment is as focused as his artistic vision; he is a dedicated Canon user. This preference supports his need for reliability and quality, which are crucial in wedding photography.
Every image Vivek captures goes through a meticulous process of color grading, utilizing custom presets in Lightroom and Photoshop to enhance and maintain the unique look of his work. This post-processing is an integral part of his creative expression, ensuring each photograph not only captures a moment but also tells a compelling story.
The most fulfilling aspect of being a photographer, for Vivek, is the opportunity to meet new people and create lasting memories. “Meeting new people and making memories for them while traveling around the world,” Vivek finds joy in the experiences and stories that each wedding brings.
Vivek’s approach to client relationships is deeply personalized. He insists on meeting with clients beforehand to fully understand their needs and vision. “Have a meeting with them beforehand to get to know them personally while understanding their needs and aesthetic style,” he explains. This careful preparation allows him to deliver a tailored experience that aligns perfectly with the couple’s expectations.
Annually, Vivek prefers to cover 15–20 weddings, dedicating about 10 hours to each event. This allows him to ensure that he can capture the complete story of each day without compromise.
For couples preparing for their photo shoot or wedding, Vivek recommends planning ahead with the photographer. “Plan ahead with the photographer in terms of styling outfits, discuss what mood or aesthetic you're looking for, and create a mood board for the shoot,” he advises. This preparation helps in making the day enjoyable and stress-free for both the couple and the photographer.
Vivek’s passion for travel and photography finds a perfect match in destination weddings, with India and Italy being his top choices. “Yes! And my favorite destinations are India and Italy,” he enthuses.
