Some photographers find their way to weddings after years of experimentation. For Ariel Cameron, the path was clear from the start.
“Since the day I began photography, I knew I wanted to shoot weddings,” she shares. “Because of the excitement, the people, the details… all of it.”
Based in the Southeast, Ariel brings a deeply human and artistic approach to every wedding she photographs. With six years of experience and a growing list of destination celebrations under her belt, she has developed a reputation for capturing not just images, but emotions that echo through time.

She shoots with a blend of digital and film equipment, including the Canon R6, a Contax 645, a Holga, and even classic disposable cameras. “I don’t touch my film scans very much,” she explains. “Then I work to edit digital images to be as cohesive with my film as possible.”
The result is a seamless fusion of mediums that gives her galleries an editorial edge without losing their heartbeat.
For Ariel, the camera is simply a means to something more profound: connection. “Being with couples as they see all of their friends and family surrounding them,” she reflects, “I love watching people feel supported and celebrated.”
It’s this commitment to presence that sets her apart. Ariel doesn't just observe—she becomes part of the celebration, knowing when to step in for guidance and when to fade into the background so the real magic can unfold.

“My favorite destination to shoot in so far is the South of France,” she says. It’s not hard to imagine her film aesthetic glowing under golden Provençal light, surrounded by vineyards and centuries-old stonework.
Looking back, Ariel would tell her younger self something simple but powerful: “Keep working on your art. The more confident you become in offering something unique and beautiful, the better your business will do!”
For couples preparing for their wedding shoot, her advice is just as heartfelt. “Don’t overthink it!!! Your professional team of vendors will prepare you. You just need to be yourselves.”
