Before Getta Vision ever framed a couple’s vows through her lens, she was immersed in the world of cinema. “I graduated from university in Ukraine with a degree in feature films 11 years ago before moving to Cyprus,” she shares. That academic foundation in storytelling gave her a deep understanding of light, composition, and emotion—all elements that now define her photographic voice.

Her relocation marked more than a change of scenery; it was the beginning of self-discovery. “Since then, my journey of self-discovery has reached new heights. I deeply value connection—whether with people, the universe, or the world around us. It’s fascinating how photography can serve as a path to one's inner self.”

A Photographer at Heart, Always

While the formal transition to professional photography began after moving to Cyprus, Getta’s relationship with the camera stretches back to her earliest memories. “Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember—I’ve always had a camera in hand.”

She began her professional journey filming large Cypriot weddings but quickly recognized her heart lay elsewhere. “My early work involved filming large Cypriot weddings, but that phase was brief. I soon realized my true calling lay in creating artistic short films and capturing documentary-style photography—like stills from a film, full of life and emotion.”

Defining a Unique, Cinematic Style

When asked to describe her aesthetic, Getta lights up. “My style is a blend of elegance, nostalgia, and modern sophistication. I'm drawn to warm, cinematic aesthetics that feel both timeless and deeply emotional.”

She gravitates toward luxurious simplicity—"vintage romance with a contemporary edge"—and avoids trends that don’t align with her values. “Whether it's photography, design, or interiors, I gravitate towards understated yet high-quality pieces that tell a story and hold sentimental value. I don't follow trends blindly; instead, I choose elements that feel personal, refined, and enduring.”

Her visuals often feature muted palettes, filmic textures, and curated details like “classic cars, pearls, and beautifully captured candid moments.”

Equipment That Enhances, Not Distracts

Getta’s current go-to gear is both powerful and minimalist. “Sony alpha 7rV is now my fav plus the new one 27-70mm f2,” she notes. “I have three other cameras and plenty of lenses, but I want to keep things light to ensure I don't miss anything important!”

Post-processing is subtle and thoughtful. “Lightroom, easy Photoshop,” she says. “It’s about enhancing the story, not rewriting it.”

What Drives Her: The Heart of the Work

What keeps her inspired? It’s simple. “I enjoy storytelling through photography, especially capturing meaningful moments like weddings and family memories❤️”

That passion is reflected in every image she delivers—emotional, cinematic, and timeless.

Collaboration Built on Communication

One of Getta’s strengths is her intuitive, empathetic approach to working with couples. “My approach to working with clients is centered on clear communication, collaboration, and adaptability,” she shares.

And yes—she’s more than happy to tailor the experience to fit each couple’s dream. “Yes,” she says, when asked about custom packages. Her response is warm and immediate, just like her photos.

Her best advice to couples preparing for a shoot? “Enjoy and have fun! Plan your outfits in advance, and once you're there, just relax and enjoy the moment. Don't overthink it—focus on having a great time that will stay in memories forever!
