Growing up, afternoons were spent trailing behind a landscape photographer—his father—with a Pentax K1000, chasing sunsets that painted the world in fleeting light. “Photography has always been in my blood,” the founder reflects. Though he began his career in architecture, “those early adventures taught me to see beauty in fleeting light and quiet details,” a vision that still guides every image.
Photography soon outgrew architecture. With his camera as his compass, he traveled—and in doing so, found more than inspiration. He met his life partner, a fashion-marketing mind formerly at Motoguo, who introduced “fresh perspectives on storytelling and portraiture.” Together, they gave birth to Ammata Eyes, uniting design-minded precision with heartfelt narrative.
Their work ethos? “To be a wedding guest with a good eye.” Each photograph is more than a visual—it's emotional archaeology. “I step into every celebration not just as a photographer, but as someone who truly cares, fully present, fully invested,” he explains. “Connection is everything to me... so that the images carry not just beauty, but soul.”
To capture both delicacy and spontaneity, they use Hasselblad for that rich, fine-art depth, and Nikon for fluid, responsive shooting. For post-production, they rely on Aftershoot, Lightroom, Photoshop & Evoto—a suite that balances polish with authenticity.
What fuels their craft? “Preserving emotions in a way that feels timeless.” The name Ammata—timeless or immortal in Thai—carries intention in every frame. “People, places, and circumstances may change,” he says. “But if the clients look back at their photographs, I want the feelings of that day to remain undeniable.”
They cultivate trust through a personalized client portal where couples share inspirations and details. A pre-wedding consultation—virtual or in person—further cements the bond. These gestures are more than logistics; they say: “You’re supported, you’re seen, you’re cared for.”
Customization is core to their process. One unforgettable commission involved capturing a grand Yee Peng ceremony in Thailand. “We tailored our services accordingly, and the clients were absolutely delighted,” he recalls. Each celebration is honored as unique, with photography that reflects its singular spirit.
Reflecting on his journey, he would tell himself: “Building a business is a marathon, not a sprint.” Every love story, every frame—no matter how small—contributes to a larger tapestry. More valuable than any gear? “Invest in connection, not just equipment. The heart you put into your work will always matter more than the tools you carry.”
As couples prepare for their wedding day, his advice is simple: “Don’t worry about what might happen—weather, delays, or the unexpected. That’s our job.” His invitation: “Be present. Enjoy your wedding day, let the moments unfold naturally, and trust that we’re there to handle whatever arises.”
Though well-traveled, their focus remains grounded in Phuket, Chiang Mai, and Bangkok. “Thailand is already a dream destination for many,” he says with gratitude, “and it’s an honor to capture their love stories here in my home country.”
In every frame and conversation, Ammata Eyes embraces a philosophy where architecture meets emotion, fine art meets human connection. Their photography doesn’t just record—it honors, preserves, and transcends time.
