Some careers begin in studios. Others begin with a text.
“When I was in college, I wanted a hobby, so I texted my sister about it. She sent me my first camera with a message saying she believed in me, and just like that, I was hooked.” That camera didn’t just capture photos—it opened the door to a calling.
Krista Suzanne, now based in Alabama, discovered her love for photography in the most personal of ways. Watching her older sister, a professional wedding photographer, transform fleeting moments into heirlooms left a lasting impression. Inspired by that magic, Krista began photographing friends and family—learning as she went, one joyful click at a time.
When asked to define her style, Krista doesn’t hesitate: “Organic, joyful, natural, and light.” These aren’t just buzzwords—they’re the heart of her work. Whether she’s chasing golden hour or capturing a quiet exchange between newlyweds, her imagery feels fresh, emotional, and full of life.
Her tools of choice? Nikon gear paired with her trusted editing workflow: “Lightroom, Photoshop,” she shares simply. But it’s not just technical skill that defines her photography—it’s how she makes people feel. “I want them to look back years from now and not only love their images but also cherish the memories of the moments we captured together.”
For Krista, a wedding gallery isn’t just about stunning visuals—it’s about creating an experience that resonates.
“My goal is to give my clients not just beautiful photos, but an incredible experience.” That’s why she approaches every event with warmth, enthusiasm, and a heart that genuinely celebrates her couples’ love stories.
She’s known for working closely with her clients to build custom packages, always with a can-do spirit. “Yes,” she confirms without hesitation.
Away from the camera, Krista embraces life with the same joy she brings to her work. “I’m a wife, a dog mom, a sister, and a daughter,” she says warmly. After years of moving for her husband’s military career—including a stop in North Carolina—the two made their way back to Alabama, where they’re now settled near family.
And when she’s not behind the lens? “You can probably find me at home, in my PJs, watching reality TV with a Dr. Pepper in hand and my dog curled up next to me.”
While Alabama is home, Krista’s heart travels far. She’s a passionate destination photographer, with favorite backdrops that read like a honeymoon itinerary.
“YES! Hawaii, Napa, anything tropical, mountains, or Europe!” she says with excitement. The thrill of new places and the challenge of capturing love against breathtaking landscapes fuel her creativity and elevate her work.
Reflecting on her journey, Krista shares advice for those just beginning theirs:
“Get involved in the wedding community, connect with other professionals, and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there.” Her own success is a testament to the power of relationships and real-world experience. “Building relationships and gaining experience will take you further than you can imagine!”
For couples getting ready for a photo session, Krista offers a practical yet powerful tip:
“Plan your outfits ahead of time! Wardrobe plays a big role in your photos, so be sure to review the style guide your photographer provides.” Confidence, comfort, and cohesion make all the difference in how moments translate into memories.
With six years of experience and hundreds of stories told, Krista Suzanne continues to bring light to every love story she touches. Her work is a reflection of who she is: bright, warm, and deeply connected to the people she serves.
And as she looks ahead—whether it’s a sunset in the Smokies or a ceremony on the Amalfi Coast—she’s ready with a camera in hand, a heart wide open, and maybe a Dr. Pepper or two for the road.
