Analise Rucker, the talented photographer behind Above the Wildflowers, didn’t begin her career in the world of weddings. Her journey started in the fast-paced and precise world of product photography, where she worked with many notable brands. Her work even found its way into the glossy pages of Cosmopolitan and Texas Lifestyle Magazine. "After that, I started to realize I hated what I was doing in my career and wanted to be in love with my job!" she recalls.
This dissatisfaction sparked an internal shift, one that led Analise to seek out something more fulfilling. "I’ve always been a hopeless romantic," she admits with a laugh. "so I decided maybe I should try out weddings? And the rest is history!" In that moment, Analise found her passion for capturing love stories and never looked back.
Analise describes her photography style as editorial, cinematic, timeless, and romantic, with a distinct “filmy” quality. She loves creating images that feel like they could be from a movie. Her style is a perfect blend of polished artistry and heartfelt moments. The cinematic quality of her work allows her to frame each couple’s story in a way that is not only visually stunning but also deeply personal.
For Analise, her tools are an extension of her artistic vision. She primarily uses the Canon R6 Mark II paired with a Canon RF 24-70mm lens. While Analise's work has a signature feel, her approach to post-processing is refreshingly understated. Her goal is to keep the photos natural and authentic.
For Analise, building strong relationships with her clients is essential to delivering work that reflects their unique love story. She loves “meeting new people & capturing their love story in a way that caters to who they are as a couple," she explains. Her process begins long before the wedding day, with plenty of meetings and inspiration boards to ensure that she’s aligned with her clients' vision.
Analise also provides every couple with a free session and wedding guide after they book her services. "I have a free session and wedding guide that I provide to all couples after they book that tells them what they can expect and how to prepare! From picking out outfits to how to feel comfortable in front of the camera!" she says.
One of Analise’s strengths is her flexibility when it comes to tailoring her services to meet her clients’ specific needs. While she offers three standard packages—6, 8, and 10 hours of coverage—she’s always open to creating a custom package if that's what the couple prefers.
When it comes to destination weddings, Analise’s passion truly shines. "Yes! Italy has been my absolute favorite I’ve been to!" she exclaims. Her love for travel and new experiences adds an extra layer of excitement to her work.
