“I’ve always been drawn to stories,” shares Eline Jacobine, a Norwegian-American photographer who has spent the past thirteen years turning life’s most beautiful moments into elegant visual narratives. Specializing in weddings, travel, and curated lifestyle imagery, her work transcends documentation—it becomes art infused with emotion.

My work is centered on capturing elegant, meaningful moments with a careful eye for detail, mood, and storytelling.

“Over the years, I’ve cultivated a practice built on heartfelt connection and authenticity, creating images that my clients will cherish for a lifetime.”

For Eline, photography is more than a profession—it’s a way of connecting deeply with others. Her journey, shaped by both Norwegian serenity and American creativity, has taken her across continents and into the hearts of countless couples. “Every wedding I photograph is unique,” she reflects. “It’s about stepping into someone’s world and preserving their story in a way that feels honest and unforgettable.”

When describing her photography, Eline’s words flow with warmth and precision.
“My photography style can be described as elegant, authentic, and effortless,” she says. “I focus on capturing the natural, intimate moments that make each couple and wedding unique.”

Her imagery is defined by natural light, refined composition, and a gentle balance between direction and spontaneity. “I work with light, composition, and atmosphere to create images that feel both luxurious and authentic—photographs that hold the feeling of the moments,” she adds. “My goal is that my couples are transported back in time every time they look at them.”

Every frame carries a sense of quiet beauty—a mixture of strength and softness that reflects both her Scandinavian roots and her romantic vision. “For me, every wedding is an opportunity to tell a personal story through visuals that are as beautiful in the moment as they are enduring over time.”

Tools of the Trade: Simplicity with Purpose

Eline’s equipment is an extension of her artistry, chosen to complement her refined, natural aesthetic.
“I use professional full-frame cameras along with a selection of prime and zoom lenses that allow me to work with natural light,” she explains. “My equipment is chosen to support my photography style—elegant, timeless, and effortless—so that I can focus fully on the moments and the story.”

In addition to digital, Eline often incorporates film photography into her work. “I love to capture parts of the day on film,” she shares. “I’m greatly inspired by the color, texture, and feel of analog images. This combination allows me to create photographs with depth, atmosphere, and a sense of timelessness.”

That blend of mediums—digital precision and film soul—results in work that feels tangible, nostalgic, and utterly refined.

The Art of Post-Processing: Enhancing, Not Altering

When it comes to editing, Eline’s philosophy is grounded in restraint and respect for the moment.
“My post-processing is focused on enhancing the natural beauty of the moments while keeping the images timeless and true to life,” she says. “Every single image is edited by hand by me, which is the most time-consuming part of each wedding, but also one of the most important.”

Rather than altering reality, she focuses on subtle refinement. “I carefully adjust light, tones, and colors to create a consistent aesthetic that feels effortless, elegant, and emotionally resonant,” she explains. “My goal is never to over-process, but to preserve the authenticity of the day and highlight the mood and atmosphere.”

Her meticulous approach ensures that every gallery feels cohesive yet emotionally alive.

I want my couples to look back at their photographs years from now and feel transported into those exact moments, with the same emotion and beauty they experienced.

“What I love most about being a photographer is the privilege of being welcomed into some of the most meaningful moments in people’s lives,” Eline reflects. “Witnessing the joy, intimacy, and deep connections between people on a wedding day—and translating those emotions into images that couples can treasure forever—is incredibly special.”

She believes the best photographs emerge from empathy and presence. “Every couple I photograph holds a special place in my heart,” she says. “For me, photography is about more than creating something beautiful; it’s about recording history and capturing stories and feelings in an effortless, deeply personal, and unobtrusive way.”

Her approach creates a safe space for couples to be themselves, resulting in imagery that feels authentic and emotionally true. “Hearing that my couples are truly grateful for having me there, and that I’ve made a positive contribution to their wedding day, is my greatest reward.”

A Personal and Collaborative Approach

Each collaboration with Eline begins with a conversation. “My approach is very personal and collaborative,” she shares. “From the beginning, I take time to get to know my couples—their story, personalities, and what matters most to them.”

On the wedding day, she becomes a calm, steady presence. “I intend to create a supportive atmosphere that allows moments to unfold naturally while I gently guide when needed,” she explains. “My goal is to balance effortless, candid storytelling with refined, timeless imagery, ensuring that the final photographs feel authentic to the couple while also carrying my signature style.”

This blend of artistry and empathy defines her process. “Above all, I want my couples to feel completely at ease, enjoying each moment, while feeling confident that their memories are in caring hands.”

A Photographer’s Wisdom: Lessons from the Journey

Looking back, Eline reflects with gratitude and grace.
“If I could give advice to myself when I was just starting out, it would be to trust my instincts and stay true to my own vision,” she says. “Early in a career, it’s easy to get caught up in trends or compare yourself to others, but I’ve learned that authenticity, patience, and dedication to your craft are what truly create lasting work and meaningful connections.”

Relationships, she adds, are the foundation of creative longevity. “I’d remind myself to invest in relationships—with clients, collaborators, and mentors—as they are just as important as technical skill,” she continues. “And finally, take the time to enjoy the journey, celebrate small victories, and remember that building a sustainable, fulfilling business takes focus, persistence, and a love for what you do.”

“Yes, I absolutely love destination weddings,” Eline smiles.

Traveling to new places is incredibly inspiring for me—the moment I arrive somewhere new, I feel energized by the light, colors, and atmosphere, which helps me capture the wedding in a fresh and authentic way.

Her favorite settings are steeped in character and history. “I’m especially drawn to locations rich in texture and tactile elements—cobblestone streets, stone walls, lush gardens, climbing vines, and greenery,” she says. “Places that add depth and character to the story of the day.”

Among all her destinations, one remains particularly close to her heart. “One of my favorite destinations is the South of France,” Eline reveals. “The scenery and natural details create the perfect backdrop for intimate, effortless, and elegant wedding photos.”

A Legacy Etched in Emotion

For Eline Jacobine, photography is more than an image—it’s a legacy of love, artistry, and memory. Her work, a graceful dance between light and emotion, reminds couples that beauty lies in authenticity.

“When my couples look at their photos years from now,” she says softly, “I want them to remember not just what they saw, but what they felt.”
