For the artist behind Pure Zeal Photography, creativity has always been second nature. From a young age, art, music, and the quiet beauty of everyday life sparked a fire that would later shape her approach to photography. “I have always been a creative and into the arts. I enjoy reading and being cozy,” she shares.
Her journey into wedding photography began in 2011. What started as a personal love for storytelling blossomed into a full-fledged business by 2014. Since then, Pure Zeal Photography has grown into a husband-and-wife team—a creative partnership where each wedding is seen through two unique, but harmonized perspectives.
“My husband and I are the creative team in Pure Zeal. I am the main photographer and he is my second shooter, where he gives the second perspective of the day.”
There’s a distinct warmth in every image captured by Pure Zeal. The style is a blend of organic, editorial, and documentary—carefully crafted yet never posed or stiff. It’s photography that breathes.
“I want my couples to feel ‘at home’ when they are interacting with me. Where it's a safe space to collaborate and create together.”
This intuitive approach extends into post-processing as well. “Color correcting, retouching blemishes and removing random or disruptive objects in the background—making sure each image is perfect.” The editing is clean and minimal, enhancing rather than altering, so every photo remains true to the moment.
One of the most defining aspects of Pure Zeal Photography is the emphasis on emotional connection. Whether it's capturing fleeting glances, tears of joy, or stolen kisses, the team brings a sense of calm and intention to every wedding.
“COMMUNICATION is huge and I am BIG on always communicating with each and every couple. I will be a part of the entire planning process as much as they would like.”
This collaborative mindset also means flexibility. “Yes, we can create a custom collection,” she says—always adapting to a couple’s vision, budget, and unique needs.
Loyal to Canon gear since the beginning, the Pure Zeal team brings technical precision to match their artistic vision. “We use multiple lenses and flashes to give us versatility for each wedding/event.”
And the creativity doesn’t stop at local celebrations. “Yes, we do destination weddings!” she shares enthusiastically. Although she doesn’t name just one favorite destination, there’s a clear love for new scenery and the inspiration that comes with it.
When asked what advice she would offer couples preparing for their shoot, her answer is as grounding as her photographs:
“Don't overthink it. Be yourself. Trust your photographer :)”
