Based in Brussels and frequently working in France, Belgium, and Italy, Morgane is a wedding photographer whose lens is guided by intuition, storytelling, and an impeccable eye for editorial composition.
With a background that includes both law and modeling, her path into photography may not have been traditional—but it’s exactly that journey that shaped her unique approach. A blend of romantic elegance and fashion-forward refinement, Morgane’s images feel like timeless whispers of love stories told in pastel hues and honest light.
Morgane’s story begins in Brussels, where her fascination with weddings was sparked at a young age. “Growing up in Brussels, I developed a deep love for love stories, beauty, and celebration—a true baby princess,” she shares.
But instead of jumping straight into photography, Morgane took a more unexpected route. She studied law and worked as a model for a decade. “Modeling introduced me to the world of creativity, aesthetics, and the art of storytelling,” Morgane recalls. “But it was my father—an enthusiastic hobby photographer—who first put a camera in my hands. That early spark never really left.”
The defining moment came when she started photographing restaurants and events for friends and clients. Weddings followed naturally. “Once I started, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else,” Morgane reflects. “It felt like coming home.”
Morgane has been immersed in the wedding world since 2017. In 2024, she celebrated a major milestone: photographing her 100th wedding.
“It’s a privilege,” she says softly. “Each couple lets me into their world, their family, their most vulnerable moments. That never stops being special.”
Her international clientele has taken her from elegant châteaux in France to lush vineyards in Italy—and most recently, her very first wedding in the United States. “That was a wonderful milestone in my career,” Morgane smiles.
Pastel tones. Luminous natural light. Candid moments with a polished finish. These are the hallmarks of Morgane Ball’s style.
“My photography style is best described as a blend of romantic elegance and editorial sophistication,” she explains. But don’t mistake that for something stiff or overly posed. “A comment I hear often from my clients is, ‘I love your candid photos!’” she laughs. “And I agree—many of the moments I capture are real and spontaneous.”
She elaborates, “I practice what some people like to call ‘directed reportage.’ I don’t just photograph whatever happens in front of me—otherwise, I’d end up with shots of people eating, awkward angles, or backs of heads. When the moment calls for it, I gently step in to guide you naturally.”
Morgane’s balance of sincere storytelling and editorial framing allows couples to relax in front of her camera while still looking like the best version of themselves.
Morgane shoots digitally with the Nikon Z8, favoring prime lenses like the 85mm f/1.2 and 35mm f/1.4. “I use flash for party or editorial-style shots,” she shares, “otherwise, I work with natural light to reflect the real atmosphere.”
When it comes to editing, Morgane’s priority is authenticity. “It’s important to keep the colors as true as possible,” she insists. “If the bride chooses a certain shade of pink for her florals, I need to respect that. However, I love to give a saturated and pastel look to make it fairytale-like.”
From the first email to the final gallery, Morgane is intentional about the way she works with her couples. “My priority is to truly understand my clients—their personalities, their story, and the vision they have for their wedding day.”
She believes in building a relationship that goes deeper than the contract. “Some of my clients even share photos of their outfits, moodboards, or decor choices during the planning process. These details help me craft a truly bespoke gallery—one that feels entirely their own.”
Morgane also loves when couples follow her on social media and vice versa. “By liking my photos, they give me insight into what resonates with them most,” she says. “Following their life online gives me a glimpse into their personalities—whether they’re more introverted or extroverted.”
When asked what advice she gives her couples ahead of their big day, Morgane doesn’t hesitate: “Communication is key! If you have a clear idea of what you want, communicate it—whether through words, images, or even a moodboard. The more information you share, the closer the results will be to your expectations.”
But perhaps even more importantly? Let go.
“Even with meticulous organization, there will always be hiccups along the way—it’s just part of the day. My advice? Let go of perfection. Trust your vendors. Embrace the unexpected. That attitude sets the tone for everything.”
Morgane specializes in destination weddings, especially those taking place in her beloved France. “There’s something truly special about witnessing the excitement of couples who are seeing a château for the first time,” she shares.
“Being fluent in both English and French allows me to act as the perfect intermediary between my couples and their vendors. It ensures smooth communication, even when cultures mix.”
While châteaux near Paris are close to her heart, she adds: “The light of the South of France is something special as well.”
Still, Morgane isn’t limited by borders. “I’m always thrilled to travel wherever love takes me—whether it’s a castle in Italy, a vineyard in Provence, or a charming local wedding abroad.”
“I find great joy in connecting with my couples and being a part of their love story,” Morgane reflects. “There’s something incredibly fulfilling about documenting such an important day, knowing that my work will become part of their family history.”
One of her greatest joys is building lasting friendships through her work. “Many of my clients become more than just clients—they become friends,” she says warmly.
She also treasures her “firsts”—from her first château wedding to her first Italian celebration. “Each of those moments marked an important step in my journey,” she recalls.
For Morgane Ball, photography is more than a profession—it’s a calling. Every gallery she delivers is a collaboration, shaped by the soul of the couple and her own artistic vision.
“I love working from a visual reference point,” she explains. “But I’m careful not to copy; I use it as a springboard to bring out the personality of my couple.”
“Ultimately,” Morgane concludes, “each reportage is different because every love story is different. My job is to tell it honestly—and beautifully.”
