“We’ve photographed over 300 weddings and elopements,” they share. “And from our experience, every couple made it! Relax and don’t worry—we’ll do our best for you both to relax and have some good time while we’ll be making pictures!”
Jane’s path into photography was one of early passion and deep curiosity. At just 18 years old, she began photographing senior portraits for girls in her community, quickly finding herself drawn into the rhythm of documenting love and connection. “A year later,” she says, “I found myself photographing weddings and engagements of my clients.” What began as an instinctive calling soon unfolded into a life’s work.
Tony’s story took a different turn—one rooted in design and technology. “I have a web design and SEO background,” he explains. “But after being into this for more than four years and assisting Jane at weddings, I started my full-time photography career.” Together, their talents now merge into a seamless storytelling experience through ISKRA Photography.
Today, the duo is based in Iceland, capturing destination weddings and elopements across the globe.
When asked how long they’ve been in the wedding world, Jane and Tony respond with quiet pride. “We’ve been into wedding and elopement photography for over a decade already,” they say. “Proud to say we’re one of the original ‘elopement’ photographers in the modern understanding of this word, who started this trend.”
ISKRA Photography was capturing intimate escapes long before they became mainstream. They pioneered a genre that invites couples to break free from expectations and immerse themselves in raw, emotional experiences surrounded by nature.
Their photography style draws inspiration from cinema—moody, rich, and deeply emotional.
“We’re huge fans of cinema, which surely influences our photography,” they share. “We describe our style as cinematic, dark, moody film look.”
Every frame echoes with atmosphere—dramatic landscapes, intricate light play, and subtle storytelling. Their work doesn’t just capture moments; it evokes feeling, pulling viewers into a world where time pauses and emotions swell.
To bring their cinematic vision to life, ISKRA Photography relies on high-performance gear and careful intention.
“We use three top Canon mirrorless cameras with a wide variety of Canon lenses,” they explain. “Besides that, we always have a DJI drone with us for every shoot.”
In terms of post-production, they keep things natural and timeless. “It’s a pretty minimalistic post-processing style actually, as we try to achieve 90% of the result straight out of camera,” they note. “We use Adobe Lightroom for color grading with our custom presets, plus Adobe Photoshop for retouching.”
The result? Imagery that feels both polished and organic—refined without losing authenticity.
ISKRA Photography believes in co-creating with their couples. Their approach begins long before the first shot is taken.
“We always ask all our couples to fill in a questionnaire with some basic questions about their wishes and expectations,” they say. “Besides that, we ask for their Instagram to check their working/preferred sides and if they have their ‘special’ or fun pose to use during their shoot.”
One unique touch? They also request couples send a few favorite wedding photos and explain what they love about them. “This always works and helps us catch their vibe and meet their expectations,” Jane adds.
No two couples are alike—and ISKRA knows it. That’s why they offer fully customizable packages tailored to each client’s needs.
“Of course, we always propose customization of our packages to meet our couple’s wishes,” they affirm.
Their priority is to ensure each couple feels seen, understood, and supported throughout the process. “We enjoy witnessing and documenting love and joy,” they say. “We are really charged by doing our work and capturing special days of our couples.”
Reflecting on their journey, Jane shares the advice she’d offer her younger self:
“Dream big. Value yourself. Smile more :)”
They also offer practical guidance to couples preparing for their shoot. “Spend a calm and cozy evening together. Look through and pick your fav photos of you two. Have a good sleep before your shoot.”

“1/3 of our schedule per year is filled in with destination weddings and elopements,” they reveal. “It’s so hard to tell which is our favourite, but besides Iceland, we’d probably name Italian Dolomites, Norway and Madeira island.”
