Pragma Weddings didn’t begin life behind the lens — but on walls. “My creative journey began with painting murals, where I used color and composition to express emotion and tell stories on a large scale,” they tell us. It was through photographing those murals that photography became not just a record, but a language. “I realized the camera could become a canvas in itself,” and for the past eight years, that's exactly what it’s been. They continue, “I work under the name Pragma Weddings and photograph weddings across Europe … Through this work, I’ve gained extensive experience working with couples from different cultures.” Their art, they say, is rooted in connection as much as composition.
“I’m a photographer, visual artist, and storyteller with 17 years of experience in the visual arts.”
While the camera is their current companion, this artist’s path spans a richer timeline: “I’ve been working as a full-time photographer for 8 years. While my creative background spans over 17 years in the visual arts, photography became my main focus … 8 years ago — and it’s been a deeply fulfilling journey ever since.”
“Photography became my main focus and profession 8 years ago … it’s been a deeply fulfilling journey ever since.”
Here, words fall short — the art speaks. But if there’s a stylistic signature to Pragma’s work, it’s a refined blend of authenticity and elegance. “My photography style is a unique blend of modern, cinematic, and editorial influences. I strive to achieve a sophisticated balance between documentary authenticity and fashion-inspired elegance.” Their approach? “Minimalism and subtlety,” with natural light and intimate details guiding every frame. They balance gentle posing with documentary spontaneity — composing emotion with care.
“Through my lens, I aim to capture genuine emotions and spontaneous moments while creating visually striking images that feel timeless and artistically expressive.”
A thoughtfully chosen toolkit helps translate vision into image. Pragma relies on cutting-edge digital bodies — the Canon R6 II and Canon R3 — alongside 35mm and 24–70mm lenses. But they keep one foot in the analog world with two film cameras: the Olympus Mju II and Canon EOS 30, blending grain with gloss.
Their editing echoes their style — subtle, respectful, timeless. “My post-processing workflow begins with a careful selection of images ... I work with 2–3 personal presets that I always adjust depending on the conditions of each shoot.” Whether warm or cool, the goal is “natural tones” — never overly sharp or high-contrast. Then comes Photoshop: “I remove skin imperfections and distracting elements … aiming for a clean, honest, and timeless edit.” It’s a final flourish, not a heavy hand.
“I value subtlety and know the importance of recognizing the moment when editing should stop.”
For Pragma, photography is about more than beautiful imagery — it's about emotional resonance. “What I enjoy most as a photographer is the deep connection I build with people during some of the most intimate and emotional moments of their lives. … Being part of those moments — when emotions are raw, real, and deeply personal — is a true honor for me.” There's joy in documenting memories and shaping them through an artistic lens, all while holding space for each couple’s story.
“That emotional exchange is exactly what inspires me every time I pick up my camera.”
It all starts with energy and trust. “My strongest asset is my energy and openness when I’m with people.” Once that connection is made, couples relax — and authentic images emerge. From there: “I listen carefully to understand their vision … I send them my questionnaire … That’s how we begin.” Communication stays central — with a clear explanation of what to expect and access to online galleries showcasing their signature style.
Absolutely. The baseline offering is clearly stated: “The starting price for a minimum of 10 hours of coverage is €3,000.” From there, customization is welcomed.
If you could speak to yourself at the start of this journey, what would you say? “Trust your instincts and be patient. It’s easy to fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others or wanting immediate success. But quality, authenticity, and dedication always find their way — and they take time.” They’d also remind themselves to enjoy every step — and not hesitate to outsource to preserve creative focus.
“The passion and energy you put into it truly make the difference.”
The key? Be present. “For a wedding, the most important thing is for the couple to fully relax and trust that everything will go smoothly. Stress can affect the energy and atmosphere … The most beautiful pictures happen when people are natural and present in the moment.” Let go of worry. Trust the team. Embrace your joy — it’s the most cinematic detail of all.
Yes — with enthusiasm. Italy, Spain, Montenegro — these locales stand out. “Each of these places offers incredible scenery and a unique atmosphere that makes every wedding truly special.”
“Some of my favorite destinations to work in are Italy, Spain, and Montenegro.”
