She reflects on this evolution with pride, "After a while of navigating weddings by myself; I created the EFEGE brand and hired a group of photographers and videographers. By learning from each other we managed to grow together as photographers and take the brand internationally. I will always be proud of having followed through this concept, thanks to all the talent inside the brand we have grown faster than we could have ever done by ourselves." When asked about her photographic style, Fernanda explains that their approach is a blend of documentary and editorial photography. EFEGE team are not just photographers; they are storytellers who use their cameras to document the real emotions and events of a wedding day. "We use Nikon, Canon & Sony. We use it all!" Fernanda says, highlighting their flexibility in equipment to match their versatile shooting style.

Crafting the Perfect Day: The Creative Process

Fernanda emphasizes the importance of understanding her clients deeply, "We have an entire creative process in which we try to get to know as much as we can about the couple and their desires and expectations before the wedding." This meticulous preparation culminates in a special session on the wedding day, "Afterwards we ask for a time slot during the wedding day to create a couple session that will help us communicate our style and direct our clients. After that, we ask them to simply enjoy their wedding day; and all the documentary photos will come." 

She believes this preparation allows couples to relax and enjoy their day, knowing that their most cherished moments will be captured beautifully and truthfully. “We always try to make them feel themselves as much as possible. The idea is always to enjoy their day as much as possible, this is what will give us the natural candid photos that our clients love,” Fernanda adds.

Handling an impressive count of about 150 weddings per year, EFEGE is no stranger to the demands of both local and destination weddings. Fernanda shares her enthusiasm for travel, "Yes! Colorado and New York have been our top destinations!"
