Amanda describes her style as documentary, striving to capture “true emotion and moments throughout the wedding day.” Her unique approach is a blend of being an unobtrusive observer and a gentle guide, ensuring her couples feel at ease in front of the lens. “I do this by both adopting a ‘fly on the wall’ style of shooting and gently guiding my couples through moments. Never to overstep or intrude, but to establish trust and connection.”

Amanda and her team work with both digital and film cameras to create a dynamic range of images. “On a wedding day, you can find me and my second shooter wearing anywhere from three to six cameras total,” she shares. Beyond still photography, she has recently introduced Super 8 Videography, adding an extra layer of nostalgia and emotion to her work.
Her post-processing approach aligns perfectly with her shooting style. Every image is hand-edited to maintain its authenticity. “I edit in a true-to-life style that lends my images to have a timeless quality.” This ensures that her photographs remain just as evocative decades from now as they are today.
For Amanda, photography is more than a profession—it’s a deeply personal mission. “Connection. As cheesy as it may sound, I can't see myself doing anything else in this world. Wedding photography is my life’s mission. To connect with others and be given the honor to document their loved ones, it is something I will never take for granted.”
To achieve this level of trust, Amanda takes the time to understand her couples, sending out detailed questionnaires, creating mood boards, and—most importantly—listening. “I always tell my clients they can do no wrong and to just be themselves! That is where the magic happens.”

While Amanda is based in the DMV area, her passion for travel takes her across the globe. “Yes, I am based in the DMV but travel all over. It is my goal to shoot a wedding in Italy!” she shares with excitement. Her ability to adapt to different locations and cultures makes her a sought-after choice for destination weddings.
