“I’m a Utah-based elopement and wedding photographer with eight years of experience,” Becca Photo + Film begins. Growing up exploring Bonneville, Moab, and Zion shaped her artistic vision: “Exploring Utah’s stunning landscapes inspired my love for documenting love stories in epic locations.” Her connection to place continues to anchor her work today.

A Style That Marries Timelessness and Truth

Becca defines her approach with precision: “Timeless, elegant, and true-to-tone with a mix of candid documentary storytelling and editorial composition.” She adds: “My work focuses on genuine connection, authentic emotion, and capturing both big moments and small details.” Drone perspectives often complete the story: “I love to add drone if the location allows to get a different perspective and vantage point.”

Tools That Shape the Vision

Her craft is powered by carefully chosen gear: “I use Nikon Z8, Z6 III, and two Z7 II camera bodies with lenses including 16–20mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 70–200mm, and 24–70mm.” Aerial stories unfold with her “DJI Mavic 3 Pro Cine.” Yet her heart belongs to a simple setup: “My favorite is a Z8 with a 35mm.”

Editing with Intention and Care

Perfection continues beyond the shutter: “I use Imagine.ai for my base edits, then fine-tune each image in Lightroom to make sure the colors, lighting, and tones are perfect.” For special images, “I use Evoto for light retouching.” Her goal: natural, elevated tones that honor the moment without losing authenticity.

The Joy of Human Connection

“Most of my clients travel from out of state to Utah, and I love that photography connects me with people I might never have met otherwise,” Becca reflects. “Thanks to the power of the internet, Instagram, and even Google searches, I’ve been able to cross paths with the most amazing human beings and share incredible experiences together.”

Crafting a Stress-Free Experience

Her client approach begins with listening: “I start by listening closely to their vision, learning about them on a zoom call, and understanding their priorities for the day.” Then comes gentle guidance: “I guide them through location, timeline, and styling decisions while keeping the process stress free and fun.” On the wedding day, “I blend direction with candid observation so their final gallery feels authentic and beautiful.”

Stories Designed Around Each Couple

“Yes, I can customize a package to include specific hours, locations, or additional services like drone coverage, highlight films, or multi-day coverage,” Becca explains. Every love story is different, and she ensures her offerings reflect that uniqueness.

Wisdom Gained from the Journey

Becca shares the advice she would give to her younger self: “Focus on building strong client relationships and refining your style rather than trying to please everyone.” Her other lessons: “Invest early in education, branding, Google and systems that make your business run smoothly. Charge what your work is worth from the start.”

Guidance for Couples Preparing for Their Day

Her tips are practical and thoughtful: “Plan your outfits and accessories in advance, considering location and weather. Bring comfortable shoes for walking between spots. Stay hydrated, and if it’s windy, plan hairstyles accordingly.” Above all, she reminds: “Trust your photographer’s guidance so you can relax and enjoy the experience.”

Adventures Beyond Borders

“Yes, I love destination weddings,” Becca shares with enthusiasm. Beyond Utah, she’s drawn to “Iceland, Norway, and Europe.” Within the States, favorites include “Bonneville Salt Flats, Moab, Zion National Park, Lake Powell, Yosemite, and coastal destinations like Oregon and Hawaii.” Each new location becomes a canvas for timeless stories.

Final Reflections

Her work is more than imagery—it’s storytelling shaped by landscape, emotion, and authenticity. “Every couple deserves images that feel like them,” Becca concludes. “That’s always my goal—to create timeless memories they’ll treasure for a lifetime.”
