“We are Paola and Roberto, a couple passionate about storytelling through photography. My journey began first, driven by the desire to capture authentic and emotional moments. Over time, this passion became an essential part of my life. As I shared my experiences and enthusiasm with Roberto, he became captivated by the world of photography. Inspired, he decided to embark on this path alongside me. Since then, we've combined our visions and sensitivities to capture unique stories, especially in weddings and portrait sessions.”
Their story began with Paola picking up a camera at eighteen to photograph events in Juiz de Fora — a spark that never faded. Sixteen years ago, fate and love intertwined, bringing Roberto into her world. Together they built a studio that would become synonymous with sincere, timeless wedding photography.
“I, Paola, have been photographing for nearly 20 years. I started at 18, covering events in Juiz de Fora, and since then, I've never put the camera down. Sixteen years ago, I met Roberto, and together we founded Estúdio Megazap, which has been operating for almost 15 years. Our love for weddings came naturally as we found ourselves in photography and dreamed about our own wedding. Since then, we've been dedicated to capturing love stories with sensitivity and authenticity.”
What sets Estudio Megazap apart is not only their technical mastery but also their unwavering dedication to genuine storytelling. Their style embraces natural emotion and classic elegance in equal measure.
“Our photographic style is documentary and sensitive, with a special focus on the timelessness of our images. We strive to capture the essence of each moment spontaneously, valuing authenticity and genuine emotion throughout the wedding day.”

“However, we also dedicate special attention to formal moments, such as the couple's portrait session. During these times, we gently guide the couple, exploring the best settings, lighting, and compositions, incorporating elements inspired by fashion photography to create aesthetic and impactful images.”
While their artistry flows freely, their toolkit is chosen with care.
“We work exclusively with Nikon equipment. Currently, we use the mirrorless Z6 II and Z6 III cameras, which deliver excellent performance under various lighting conditions. Our lenses are diverse, mostly primes, allowing us to capture everything from wide scenes to intimate details with clarity and depth. For lighting, we use Godox equipment, providing us with versatility and quality in both indoor and outdoor settings.”
Their editing philosophy mirrors their shooting style: true to life, with subtle polish.
“Our post-production process focuses on enhancing natural beauty and preserving colors to ensure the photography remains faithful, natural, and timeless. We primarily use Adobe Lightroom for general adjustments and turn to Photoshop for specific retouching when needed.”
When asked what keeps them inspired after years of telling love stories, Paola and Roberto share the same sentiment: it’s all about the people.
“What we love most about photography is the opportunity to tell real and moving stories. It's a privilege to capture unique moments in people's lives, especially during weddings, where emotions run high. Every couple has a unique journey, and being able to eternalize those moments of love, joy, and connection is what drives us.”

Our goal is to create a photography experience that truly reflects each couple's essence and style, ensuring that every special moment is captured with sensitivity and authenticity.”

“If I could go back to the beginning of my photography journey, I would tell myself: trust your vision and sensitivity. In the beginning, it's common to compare yourself to other professionals, but every photographer has a unique path and style. I would also advise investing in knowledge, not just technical skills, but also in business management. Understanding aspects like pricing, contracts, and marketing is essential for long-term success. Finally, I would emphasize the importance of keeping the passion for photography alive. Pursuing personal projects, experimenting with new techniques, and connecting with other professionals can renew inspiration and strengthen artistic identity.”

“Yes, we do destination weddings and absolutely love the experience! Traveling to capture love stories in special places deeply inspires us. We have a special affection for destinations like Italy and Spain, which combine stunning landscapes with rich and passionate cultures. In Brazil, Fernando de Noronha was one of the most amazing places we've photographed a wedding.”
