Anastasiia Olenich's journey into the world of photography began in the picturesque landscapes of Ukraine. At just 15 years old, she grasped her first professional camera, a moment that marked the beginning of a lifelong passion. “My first photoshoot with a professional camera was for my sister—quite a memorable experience, and I still chuckle thinking about it!” Anastasiia recalls with a laugh. This early experience was not just an experiment; it sowed the seeds of a deep love for photography—a medium through which Anastasiia felt she could express art and emotion.
As her skills sharpened and her experiences broadened, Anastasiia’s style evolved into what she describes as 'editorial wedding photography'. This style choice reflects her dedication to capturing not just the event, but the story behind each moment. “Each click of the shutter is a chance to preserve genuine feelings and timeless memories,” she explains. “Photography has always been more than just a hobby for me; it’s a form of art that I deeply love. I never imagined back then that it would turn into my career, but here I am, capturing the most beautiful moments of people's lives.”
She adds: “I'm passionate about telling stories through my lens, and I always aim to create images that resonate with authenticity and emotion. Whether it's a tear of joy, a loving glance, or a burst of laughter, I find immense joy in documenting these precious moments.”
Anastasiia’s photographic arsenal includes high-end equipment like the Canon R5, Sony a7V, and a classic film camera, the medium format Pentax 645NII, each chosen to enhance her ability to capture sharp, emotive images that speak directly to the heart.
Her expertise extends beyond the camera. She engages deeply in post-processing, where each image undergoes meticulous color correction and extended retouching. “What I love most about wedding photography is the opportunity to capture real emotions and feel the moment right here and now,” she states.
Her approach to working with clients is equally thorough and personalized. She believes in the importance of connecting with each couple personally, listening intently to their stories and wishes. “It is very important for me to get to know the client, find out their story, listen to all their wishes and do the best I can and even better. I really love doing engagement shoots with my couple, it allows us to get to know each other better. And then at the wedding we already understand each other perfectly,” she shares.
Anastasiia finds a balance in her work-life by limiting herself to 25-35 weddings per year. This allows her to maintain a high standard of creativity and personalization for each event. She offers flexible packages that can adapt to different needs and budgets, with coverage options of 6, 9, and 11 hours. Her starting price for a 10-hour coverage is $5,000, but she’s always ready to discuss and create a custom package that meets the specific needs of her clients.
A significant aspect of Anastasiia’s photography is her enthusiasm for destination weddings, which has taken her to vibrant cities across the United States, including New York, Miami, Orlando, and Los Angeles. Her favorite part of these journeys is the challenge and joy of integrating the local scenery and atmosphere into her photography, ensuring that each couple’s story is told against a backdrop that enhances their special day.
