Her toolkit is as diverse as her skill set. "Medium Format and 35mm Film & digital," Alice shares, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to using the right tools for each unique situation.

When it comes to editing, Alice takes a thoughtful and intentional approach. "I color-correct all photos to look cohesive," she explains. "In some cases I recurr to Photoshop to edit out some visually unappealing elements that don't contribute to the message of the photo, just like a painter does." This careful post-processing ensures that each image aligns with her artistic vision while maintaining the authenticity of the moment.

Client Connection

Alice's approach to working with clients is deeply personal. "I work as close with them as they'd like. If they want to be involved in the process, which some don't and that is understandable and completely fine, I will study their vision for the day and find out about their preferences and dream photos. I ask them specific questions that will help me perceive their vision for the day so that they can trust that everything they envision will become true," she states. 

This flexibility allows her to cater to each couple's specific needs and desires. She adds, "My job as their wedding photographer is to guarantee that all photos they want and more are covered so they can enjoy their day without a worry."

When asked about her favorite locations, she enthusiastically responds, "I love my country, Portugal, but I also love the south of Spain and France; and Italy as a whole. New York City is also one of my top destinations." This global perspective allows her to bring a fresh eye to each location, capturing its unique beauty alongside the couple's special day.

In an industry where many photographers take on as many weddings as possible, Alice takes a different approach. Her comfortable weddings count per year is 15. This self-imposed limit allows her to give each couple her full attention and creativity, ensuring that every wedding receives the care and dedication it deserves.

Despite her success and expertise, Alice remains grounded in what truly matters to her. When asked what she enjoys most about being a photographer, she responds with heartfelt sincerity: "Serving my clients and rooting for their wishes. I believe our purpose as humans is directly linked to helping and serving the next. I find most pleasure when my clients are happy. I also love the challenge of creating art out of each wedding."
