Before becoming 93 Wedding Collective, Hannah and Maranda each ran their own creative business. Their paths kept crossing on wedding days, and what started as casual collaboration quickly became something more meaningful.
“For a long time, we operated our own wedding photography and videography businesses separately but found ourselves working together the majority of the time. It never felt like one person was always running the show because we both brought unique perspectives and skills to the table.”
What started as practical turned into purposeful. The duo realized that working as a team made them better artists — and better humans.
“We're a partnership and in an industry that is often competitive and cutthroat, we've been able to find community with one another.”
It’s this foundation — of support, shared vision, and unwavering encouragement — that allows them to serve their couples with depth and intention.
“The amount of confidence it's given us as professionals and business owners to have a business partner, and friend, to lean on has elevated our abilities to deliver a service and experience to our clients that far exceeds if we did it alone.”
When asked to define their style, the duo doesn’t limit themselves to one label. Their work moves fluidly between candid, editorial, and documentary — always based on the unique needs of each couple.
“There's so many ways you can capture a wedding. We often hear documentary, candid, or editorial when we're on consult calls with clients. We like to tell them that we use a blended style depending on their needs.”
From unprompted laughter to posed portraits with cinematic flair, the key lies in their ability to adapt and intuitively read the room.
“Some moments of a wedding day are truly documentary in nature... A hug from a grandma, a tender moment between our client and their parent, or a group of people laughing, those are candid and unfiltered.”
“Whereas, during formal portraits... we will prompt more and set a scene that allows for movement and fluidity but still provides direction for our clients so they don't feel pressure to pose or feel unnatural.”
At the heart of it all? Honoring the couple’s story — exactly as it’s meant to be told.
The duo brings a wide range of technical expertise to every wedding. Hannah shoots with Nikon Z6ii bodies, using both 24-70mm and 85mm lenses. Maranda uses a Canon R6 with a 28-70mm lens — and for video, they rely on Sony FX30s.
But what really sets their work apart is their love for film.
“We also love to bring a mixture of film cameras for some fun film moments since those are included in all packages.”
In post-production, consistency and intentionality are key. They cull through Narrative Select or Lightroom Classic and apply signature presets with a personal touch.
“We edit all our images in Lightroom Classic, applying a preset and adjusting each image to be consistent throughout the album.”
Despite having captured over 100 weddings, the emotional pulse of the day never fades for Hannah and Maranda.
“Even though we've captured over 100 weddings collectively, we still get choked up during the ceremony or special dances.”
It’s not just about delivering a gallery — it’s about being present, bearing witness, and making their clients feel seen.
“Truly we get so invested in the stories we get to capture and you feel this deep connection to their lives on their wedding day.”
Their empathy isn’t just a trait — it’s their superpower.
“We're both highly-sensitive souls who desire connection so it just makes sense why that aspect of being a photographer is what stands out to us the most.”
From the first consultation to the final delivery, 93 Wedding Collective prioritizes intentionality. They begin each client relationship with a team call, asking thoughtful questions and listening closely.
“We treat each call the same and ensure we are answering those questions truthfully and not being inauthentic with those potential clients.”
Throughout the planning process, they check in regularly, share questionnaires, and even review mood boards and vision pins to align on style and expectations.
“They spend so long perusing the internet to help them envision their day and it helps us to know what style to adopt to ensure we are meeting their needs.”

“Yes, absolutely!”

“This might be a basic answer, but have fun!”
They emphasize presence over perfection and encourage couples to embrace what feels most authentic to them.
“Who cares if it's cheesy or non-traditional, if it brings you and your partner joy, then DO IT!”

“Hiring vendors you trust and are excited to work with truly makes a world of difference in your experience of your day.”
While most of their work has been along the East Coast, 93 Wedding Collective has begun expanding their horizons.
“Next year we are traveling out West for an elopement and Hannah has done some shoots in Europe before in her travels.”
Their dream? More destination weddings around the world — and they’re ready to pack their bags.
“We would LOVE to do an international wedding one day and offer special deals for those!”
