The floral world is often romanticized as soft and delicate—but at Decorelle, it’s also daring, sculptural, and opulent. Behind every petal placed and arch built is a creative force who sees floristry as more than beauty—it’s about making memories last forever.

We had the pleasure of speaking with the founder, head designer, and art director of Decorelle—a woman whose journey from pastry artistry to immersive floral design is as rich and textured as her breathtaking installations.

A Blooming Beginning

“My journey into the world of wedding floristry began with wedding cakes—where I developed a deep appreciation for aesthetics, composition, and the details that make celebrations truly special.”

That’s right. Before commanding a floral design empire, she was immersed in the world of edible art. But over time, her creative spirit yearned for something more expansive. Flowers, with their endless variations, textures, and meanings, became her new canvas.

“Over time, my passion for artistry and design led me to flowers, where I discovered an even greater canvas for creativity.”

Thus, Decorelle was born—rooted in elegance, guided by instinct, and unapologetically bold.

The Heart of the Craft

When asked about the most rewarding part of her work, her answer was immediate and heartfelt:

“The most rewarding part of being a wedding florist is seeing the joy and emotion flowers bring to a couple’s special day. Creating designs that become part of their cherished memories makes it all truly fulfilling.”

At Decorelle, it’s not just about aesthetics—it’s about soul. Every bouquet, centerpiece, and suspended floral sculpture is crafted with meaning and love.

Magic in the Mayhem

While beautiful blooms may look effortless, the stories behind them often involve determination, grit, and innovation.

“My best memories come from the challenges—the moments when my team and I push beyond limits and prove our exceptional skills.”

There was the time they rebuilt an entire ceremony structure in just 3.5 hours. Or when they were tasked with decorating a second wedding ceremony—with only 15 hours' notice. It’s in those high-pressure moments that Decorelle thrives.

“These are the moments I truly embrace.”

Designing Beyond the Expected

What truly sets Decorelle apart is their flair for the unexpected. Forget cookie-cutter centerpieces—they approach design with a sculptor’s mindset.

“Sculptural branches, unexpected textures, bold color palettes, or even unconventional materials like fabric, metal, or dried elements—all these details add depth and personality.”

Each floral story is deeply rooted in the couple’s essence. No matter how avant-garde the design gets, love always comes first.

“We should always remember the couple and their unique story. That’s what drives our imagination and determines the materials we use for each design.”

On Trends and Timelessness

While trends can be a source of inspiration, Decorelle doesn’t chase them. Instead, they reinterpret them through their own timeless lens.

“At Decorelle, we focus on timeless elegance rather than following trends.”

That said, they are drawn to certain movements—like mono-floral statements and integrating flowing fabrics into floral structures. Both trends echo Decorelle’s love for texture and form.

“Trends can be inspiring, but for us, the couple’s story and the atmosphere we create will always come first.”

Style Advice for Lost Lovers

What if you don’t know what style you want? Don’t panic—this floral guru has some calming, creative advice.

“Start by gathering inspiration—Pinterest, fashion, interior design, and even your favorite places can spark ideas.”

Instead of obsessing over color palettes, focus on how you want your wedding to feel.

“Think about the mood you want to create—romantic, modern, whimsical, or dramatic.”

And most importantly?

“Trust your instincts and choose what feels right for you.”

Floral Obsessions

When asked if there’s one flower she’s obsessed with, she responded like a true artist:

“I truly love all flowers—each has its own character, texture, and way of bringing a design to life.”

From delicate ranunculus to striking anthuriums, every bloom plays a part in her symphony.

Advice to Her Younger Self

As we wrapped up, we asked what she’d tell her younger self—the woman just beginning this wild, blooming journey.

Her answer?

“Go girl, make your dreams come true, and trust yourself. Believe in your vision, embrace challenges, and never be afraid to push boundaries.”

Words to live by—for creatives, dreamers, and anyone seeking to turn beauty into legacy.
