“We don’t just arrange flowers. We create experiences.”
In the heart of Mexico, where history, culture, and natural beauty intertwine, two women dared to follow a passion that began as a hobby — and transformed it into one of the most soulful floral design studios in the wedding world. Meet Paulina and Miriam, the creative minds behind PS FLOWER STUDIO, a boutique floral studio celebrated for crafting intentional, emotion-rich floral installations for weddings and events.
Their story isn’t one of formal training in floristry or lifelong plans. Instead, it's a testament to listening to the quiet pull of creativity — and letting it lead.
“We both had a deep passion for design, storytelling, and the emotional power of flowers. We've always been drawn to how floral design can transform spaces and capture the essence of a moment.”
What began as two marketing majors casually experimenting with blooms has blossomed into a studio recognized for blending fine art aesthetics with cultural authenticity. For Paulina and Miriam, flowers are more than décor — they’re a medium of memory.
Their entry into the world of wedding florals was far from conventional. What started as a joyful pastime soon revealed itself to be much more.
“Our journey into wedding floristry began as a hobby. We never thought we could pursue floral decor as a business. But life has a way of showing you doors you never knew existed.”
In that discovery, PS FLOWER STUDIO found its mission: to create floral work that’s not only beautiful but deeply meaningful.
For Paulina and Miriam, every couple is a unique story waiting to be interpreted in petals, colors, and forms. Whether working in Mexico City or Los Cabos, they approach each wedding with the same level of care and intention.
“The connection we create with each of the couples we work with is something we will always cherish.”
Their love for storytelling translates into floral compositions that echo each couple’s personality, cultural background, and emotional landscape. It’s never just about what's trending — it’s about what feels true.
“The most rewarding part of being a wedding florist is that we get to be part of one of the most important days in people’s lives. We create experiences for our clients that will live in their memories forever.”
Among the many career highlights for PS FLOWER STUDIO, one moment still stands out above the rest.
“One of my most memorable wedding experiences was working alongside the incredible Mindy Weiss on a destination wedding in San Miguel de Allende.”
Working with Mindy Weiss’s team pushed their creativity to new heights. They blended lush, layered florals with the historic architecture of the city, striking a balance between timeless elegance and modern romance.
“The level of detail, intention, and personalization that went into every element of the wedding was extraordinary — and it pushed me to bring my very best as a floral designer.”
PS FLOWER STUDIO isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo of wedding flowers. Their creative bravery shows in the elements they use — sometimes expected, sometimes delightfully not.
“I truly believe that being a florist is being an artist — and like any artist, we should feel free to use all the tools and materials available to us.”
Incorporating fruit, sculptural objects, textiles, and foraged materials, Paulina and Miriam redefine what wedding florals can be. These unexpected touches add depth, texture, and personality to every arrangement.
“For me, the goal is always to evoke emotion and create a sensory experience — and sometimes, the most meaningful designs come from blending the organic with the unconventional.”
When it comes to current trends, Paulina and Miriam lean toward sculptural arrangements and dramatic monochromatic palettes.
But they also champion the underdogs of the flower world.
“Unpopular opinion, I LOVE carnations. Most people think they're too basic. I think carnations are undervalued. They come in so many different colors, have the best texture, and create color blocks without having to spend too much money.”
Their other floral love? Calla lilies.
“I also love calla lilies — alcatraces, as they’re called in Spanish. They’re deeply rooted in Mexican culture and, whether by coincidence or destiny, they share the name of the street I’ve lived on for most of my life.”
For them, flowers are not just visual elements, but cultural symbols and personal talismans.
With so many choices and Pinterest boards floating around, it’s easy for couples to feel overwhelmed when choosing a floral style. Paulina and Miriam offer a gentle reminder:
“Stay true to your personality. Trends come and go, but your wedding should feel like an honest reflection of who you are as a couple. The most memorable designs are always the most personal.”
When asked what they’d say to their past selves as they were just starting this journey, their advice is as grounded and sincere as their designs:
“I would remind myself that building a business takes time, and that’s okay. Growth isn’t always linear, and every challenge is part of the learning. Surround yourself with people who inspire you, never stop learning, and protect your passion fiercely.”
What’s next for PS FLOWER STUDIO? More growth. More connection. More artistry rooted in soul and intention.
In a world of fast trends and fleeting moments, Paulina and Miriam stand as a reminder that meaningful design begins with love — for beauty, for nature, and for people.
“What began as a hobby has become a full-fledged studio that celebrates craftsmanship, culture, and the beauty of meaningful design. We value each client that trusts us with the creative vision of one of the most important days of their lives.”
