Established in Lisbon, Portugal, by the visionary duo Gustavo Camacho and Tiago Bettencourt, Bosque Concepts is more than a floral design studio—it’s a poetic expression of nature, emotion, and artistry. Drawing inspiration from untouched landscapes and the refined elegance of Ikebana, Bosque crafts one-of-a-kind floral experiences for couples in Portugal and around the world.
We spoke with the talented team behind Bosque to uncover how their journey began, what inspires them most, and why their minimal-yet-meaningful approach is reshaping the floral design industry.
Bosque Concepts was born out of a deep-rooted connection to the land. Originally from Madeira Island and now based in Lisbon, the founders bring a soulful approach to every celebration.
“Our inspiration is deeply rooted in Nature, drawing from its captivating seasons, untouched woodlands, serene meadows, and the diverse array of blooms and raw materials that flourish within them.”
That inspiration can be felt in every element of their work—from the sculptural silhouettes of each stem to the delicate, refined placement of blooms. The duo’s aesthetic leans into raw textures and organic movement, resulting in arrangements that feel simultaneously effortless and sophisticated.
With a strong foundation in the art of IKEBANA, they’ve developed a style that is unmistakably their own—elegant, intentional, and deeply personal.
While their designs have graced weddings across Portugal and beyond, what truly fuels their passion is the collaborative journey with each couple.
“The creative process. Collaborating with the couple and the planning teams is something that truly excites us throughout the entire journey leading up to the wedding day.”
This partnership allows the team to discover a couple’s essence and translate it into floral form—whether through soft palettes and delicate petals or bold shapes and dramatic installations.
It’s not about fitting into a trend. It’s about authenticity. And Bosque brings that philosophy to every bouquet and altar.
Each wedding is special, but some moments stay with you forever.
“There’s one that will always hold a special place in our hearts – the wedding at Herdade do Freixo. Deep in a wine cellar, 40 meters underground, we created an altar with just three floral pieces.”
Minimal. Powerful. Unforgettable.
“The result still fills us with pride to this day. It was a beautifully intimate celebration, where even the tables became a true reflection of our unique identity.”
This celebration exemplifies Bosque’s ethos: fewer flowers, greater meaning.
Bosque doesn’t shy away from experimentation. For them, pushing boundaries is part of the job.
“We believe that floral design is ever-evolving and dynamic. The emerging approaches are always positive, but the most important aspect is ensuring that the decor reflects the energy and tastes of the couple.”
While the industry constantly introduces new trends, Bosque keeps their compass pointed toward authenticity.
Their prediction for 2025?
“Not sure if it can be considered a trend, as we've always incorporated it into our work, but we believe the motto for 2025 is: less is more.”
This philosophy isn't just visual—it’s emotional. It allows space for each element to speak and for the couple’s story to take center stage.
With so many styles flooding social media, it’s easy for couples to feel overwhelmed. Bosque’s advice? Start with what matters.
“Often, when couples feel a bit overwhelmed, we encourage them to disconnect from everything they've seen about flowers and decor. Instead, we ask them to share with us the things they truly love, like their story, hobbies, colors, flowers and textures.”
This introspective approach allows Bosque to co-create something meaningful—an experience that reflects not just the couple’s taste, but their identity.
It’s in those quiet moments of understanding that the magic begins to bloom.
When asked which flowers they love working with most, they didn’t hesitate.
“Many flowers, but at the moment, we feel that callas and tulips have great potential and versatility to complement our designs.”
From clean-lined callas to the ever-changing form of tulips, these blooms offer the perfect canvas for Bosque’s sculptural sensibility.
Reflecting on their journey, we asked what advice they’d give themselves if they were just starting out.
“Trust the process – not only the journey of building a company, but also the creative process behind a simple arrangement.”
It’s a reminder that beauty takes time. That vision takes trust. And that artistry comes from listening—to nature, to clients, and to the quiet intuition that guides each design.
In a world saturated with trends and visual noise, Bosque Concepts stands out by doing less—but saying more. Every stem they place tells a story. Every texture whispers something personal. And every wedding becomes an immersive experience rooted in art, authenticity, and the quiet poetry of nature.
Whether 40 meters underground or in a sun-drenched vineyard, Bosque transforms weddings into visual symphonies—where emotion and elegance bloom in perfect harmony.
