In 2026, the Ibiza wedding cost ranges from $5,000 for a sunset elopement with a local photographer to over $120,000 for a multi-day luxury villa buyout with a full production team. For couples planning a medium-sized beach wedding with 50-80 guests, the average budget is $30,000-$55,000. This budget covers venue hire, catering, photography, floral arrangements and basic entertainment. However, it does not include travel costs (flights), accommodation costs (hotels or other housing) or transfers between islands by boat.

Catering costs tend to be more expensive in Ibiza than on the mainland for two main reasons. Firstly, due to its geographical location, most catering supplies arrive in Ibiza by ferry or freight. Secondly, Ibiza's wedding season lasts from June to September, so minimum spends at venues and with service providers are generally highest within this timeframe. For example, the cost of a wedding in May could be $40,000, whereas the same wedding in August could cost $60,000 because all providers in Ibiza apply seasonal pricing.

Ibiza's unique environment also sets it apart from other Mediterranean wedding destinations. The pine trees, whitewashed villas, stunning blue sea and breathtaking cliffs provide an idyllic setting, provided that every component of the wedding has been planned meticulously.

The Cost of a Wedding in Ibiza: What To Expect

The cost of a wedding in Ibiza differs from that in most other European destinations. Venue hire and catering normally account for 55% to 65% of the overall budget. However, in Ibiza, this figure exceeds the European average. Most of the island's venues have high hire fees and catering minimums. Before receiving quotes, you can estimate how much of your budget will go towards the venue by understanding where the majority of your budget will end up.

Another significant expense for couples planning their wedding in Ibiza is the cost of photography and production. This is also subject to restrictions under the Ibiza Noise Ordinances and the added logistical complexity of planning events in Ibiza due to its location. As a couple, it is therefore important to factor these costs into your overall budget before signing the contract with your venue.

Island Catering and Open Bar

Prices for wedding catering in Ibiza vary greatly. On average, you can expect to pay between $120 and $250+ per person for full dinner service and drinks, depending on the venue type (independent or beach club/hotel), the menu format (plated, buffet, etc.) and the time of year. The lower range represents an independent venue in the middle of the season using locally sourced ingredients, while the upper range represents beach clubs/hotels in the peak season, where the caterer uses their own staff and services.

A Spanish buffet-style wedding menu will consist of three courses. The first course will be an extensive selection of tapas served during the cocktail hour. The second course will be a multi-course meal served at a dinner table. The third course will be a late-night buffet of snacks. Therefore, all guests will have a wide selection of food and drink throughout the meal. The quoted catering cost will exclude the amount added for Spanish VAT (10%) and a service charge of between 10% and 15%. Therefore, the total cost of wedding catering for a Spanish buffet-style wedding will be 20–25% more than the original quote. For example, a quote of $150 per guest would result in actual costs of approximately $180-190 per person. Thus, for 80 guests, the total increase would be approximately $2,400 to $3,200.

The most economical way to create an expert catering menu is to showcase the exceptional fish, vegetables and cured meats that Ibiza has to offer. By complementing these quality local produce with equally high-quality produce sourced from local growers and suppliers who frequent the island's markets, Ibiza's caterers will consistently be able to offer a superior product at a lower cost than any hotel or restaurant could achieve through their food and beverage divisions.

Photography, Video, and Island Logistics

A full-day package covering both photography and videography for an Ibiza wedding typically costs between $4,000 and $10,000. This wide price range reflects the difference between local and international photographers.

For a destination wedding, where photographs and videos are one of the primary ways couples share the event with those who could not be there, this is not an area to cut back on. The light in Ibiza, the cliff formations, the colour of the water in the coves near Amante, and the view of Es Vedrà from Elixir are all images that require a photographer who has shot in these locations before and knows exactly where and when to position a couple.

Logistics costs are a legitimate expense specific to Ibiza. These include transporting vendors from the mainland, ferry costs for equipment, and transfers between venues for multi-venue weddings. All of these factors are added to the base quote for photography and video. Budgeting $500–$2,000 for logistics depends on how many vendors travel from the mainland.

Production, Sound, and Lighting Restrictions

Some of the strictest noise level laws in Spain are found in Ibiza. Most outdoor venues must stop playing music by 11 p.m. - and this is strictly enforced, with real financial consequences for venues found guilty of non-compliance. There are two financial considerations for couples wishing to have their wedding in Ibiza. If they wish to continue their celebrations after 11 p.m., they will need to rent either an indoor venue or an enclosed outdoor terrace; however, the soundproofing requirements would not allow for outdoor music after this time.

The second financial consideration is that, to have high-quality live music at their wedding, couples must rent sound and lighting production equipment that operates within the legal decibel limits.

Prices for professional sound and lighting production at an Ibiza wedding start at $3,000 and go up to $8,000, depending on the venue's existing infrastructure, how many spaces are being used for the event and whether a separate rig is required for the ceremony. Venues such as Hacienda Na Xamena and Elixir already have the necessary sound infrastructure, so the cost would be lower than at a blank canvas venue or private villa, which would require a completely new rig.

You should build the 11:00 p.m. curfew into the timeline of your event from the beginning, rather than after signing your venue contract. For example, a ceremony at 6:30 p.m., followed by a cocktail hour at 8:00 p.m. and dinner at 9:00 p.m., will create a 90-minute window between the ceremony and the end of the dancing. This means that, while proper programming will allow dancing to occur, an alternative timeline will be required for any wedding held on the mainland.

The trend of using the wedding as an extended holiday for the couple and their closest family and friends is growing in popularity, as are the associated costs.

Planning a wedding in Ibiza requires a more structured approach to budgeting than at most other European destinations. Island logistics, noise curfews and seasonal pricing all introduce specific variables, and knowing these in advance can make a measurable difference to the final cost.
