Let’s embark on a captivating journey, diving deep into the world of Barbarah Perttula, one of the best photographers in Washington DC. This is not just any tale, but the story of a dynamic photography duo who might just make you rethink the way you perceive the world around you.

A Love Beyond Borders

"Matias and I have been married for 8 years," Barbarah shares with a gleam in her eye. They come from two beautiful worlds: “Finland and Haiti." But it's not just love and marriage; it's the passion for capturing life's most poetic and soulful moments that has them bonded even more closely. Yes, we're talking about a couple who've seamlessly merged love, life and the art of photography. From jet-setting around the globe to meticulously renovating their 200-year-old estate in Maryland, they've mastered the art of juggling. And when they’re not traveling? "You can find us gardening, homesteading, hiking, or snowboarding," Barbarah muses.

Through The Lens of Love

Five years ago, Barbarah took her first steps into the world of wedding photography. Matias, not one to be left behind, decided to jump aboard this picturesque journey last year. The results? Spectacular! "Our photography style is soulful, cinematic, and honest," says Barbarah, and we couldn’t agree more. They’re not about those rehearsed smiles or orchestrated poses. It's genuine, it's raw, and it's deeply resonant. And for those of you bitten by the tech bug, Barbarah excitedly reveals, "We love our Canon gear, but recently we added a film camera and a drone to our list of equipment." That's right! They’re not just artists; they're innovators too.

Crafting Memories, One Click At A Time

When it comes to post-processing, Barbarah is a stickler for routine. Their workflow is seamless! They’ve got it down to an art – quick backups, a bit of culling, a dash of Lightroom, and voilà! Sneak peeks are delivered promptly within a week. And for those curious about their pricing, Barbarah lays it out transparently, "Our local 10-hour package starts at $8,000. This includes two photographers (us), an initial consult, wedding day photography coverage timeline prep, online gallery delivery with a print shop (unlimited downloads), and a custom high resolution USB with your full gallery."

With their unique blend of professionalism and personal touch, they truly stand out. Barbarah strongly believes that every love story is unique. Thus, they customize. "We would rather a couple have exactly what they need in a package then us just dishing generic packages with line items that may not be in line with their vision," she emphasizes.

Oh, and for the avid travelers out there, she has some exciting news: "We have loved every destination wedding we've documented over the years." Their bucket list boasts mesmerizing locations from Bali to French vineyards. So, if you dream of sunsets and vows or romance amidst the vineyards, they've got you covered.
