Demi Lovato and Jordan "Jutes" Lutes are officially husband and wife after a spectacular wedding weekend at Santa Barbara's Bellosguardo Estate. The musician and actor, alongside her artist-songwriter partner, exchanged vows in front of 135 friends and family on Sunday, May 25, in a celebration that was equal parts intimate and utterly enchanting.

"Once we saw the venue, we both knew without any doubt this was where we wanted to get married," the Disney alum and director of Child Star shares. "The location is just so beautiful, from the rolling green grass to the view of the ocean. It was calming, serene, and felt right."

The couple's love story began in January 2022 during a writing session for Demi's most recent album, Holy Fvck. Nearly two years later, Jordan orchestrated a proposal that would make even the most romantic screenwriter weep—transforming a room with roses, candles, and butterflies suspended from the ceiling before performing an original song he'd written for the occasion. The twist? He'd taught himself guitar specifically for this moment.

"He worked with Material Good's Teresa Panico to create the pear-shaped diamond ring," and by December 2023, Demi had said yes to forever.

The Westwood Vision

For her walk down the aisle, Demi chose a pearl-white Vivienne Westwood masterpiece that embodied everything she'd dreamed of. "I have been a fan of Vivienne Westwood's designs for a long time," she tells. "When I was thinking about what dress style I wanted, I often found myself coming back to Vivienne's designs—specifically how the silhouettes really complement the curves of your body and her use of corsets."

The creation process was nothing short of couture magic. The Vivienne Westwood team traveled from London to Los Angeles for five meticulous fittings, working from an inspiration image Demi had found online. The final design featured heavy silk satin fabric with signature corsetry, a romantic neckline that swept across her shoulders, and bespoke draped detailing that drew inspiration from both 18th-century high society and ancient Greek statuary.

"We were not only able to work off that [initial] inspiration, but we added touches that really make this dress so special to me," Demi explains. "I love everything about the dress."

Stylist Jill Jacobs collaborated on the entire wedding weekend wardrobe. "Demi was a vision—and each look perfectly reflected different aspects of her beauty and personality," Jill explains. "There's something uniquely special about styling someone's forever moment."

Pre-Party Perfection

The festivities launched Saturday night with a rehearsal dinner at Arnoldi's Cafe in Santa Barbara, where Demi wore a strapless Monique Lhuillier dress with a dramatic slit. Celebrity event planner Mindy Weiss orchestrated every detail, directing the bridal party through their paces before the group enjoyed an intimate dinner and called it an early night.

Sunday brought characteristically overcast Southern California weather, but thirty minutes before the 4 p.m. ceremony, the sun burst through the clouds like a Hollywood ending. Jordan looked sharp in Saint Laurent, accessorized with David Yurman and Spinelli Kilcollin jewelry. "He fit a bunch of other suits, but we both really loved the way the YSL suit fit and looked, it was the clear choice," Demi notes.

The bridesmaids sparkled in Birdie Grey while groomsmen suited up in Hugo Boss, creating a perfectly coordinated wedding party against the estate's stunning backdrop.

I Do, Rock Paper Scissors Style

Good friend Dave Osokow officiated the ceremony, making it deeply personal. "It was as if each and every person at the wedding was a part of a big family all celebrating with us," Demi remembers. When it came time for vows, the couple couldn't decide who should go first, so they played Rock Paper Scissors. "We tied at first, and then Jordan won, so I went first."

"The ceremony was full of love," Demi says. "Looking into each other's eyes, all I was thinking was how lucky we are to spend this lifetime with each other." After the ceremony, photographer Jose Villa captured post-ceremony portraits while guests moved into the extravagant reception tent created by Town & Country.

For the reception, Demi changed into "the Audrey"—an ivory silk satin column dress with a draped corset top, also by Westwood. The gown featured cascading broken pearls and offered a modern take on classic silhouettes with an asymmetrical twist, evoking the golden age of cinema. "There was so much attention to detail on the reception dress beading," Demi says. "The pearl detail and draping is such a special element, and each strand was draped and attached by hand, one by one. It's a one-of-a-kind piece that makes me feel so special."

Paris Behind the Turntables

Inside the reception tent, Celio's Designs provided stunning florals while Mixology by Melissa created a custom mocktail bar that had the couple raving. "We loved the floral details in the ice cubes as well as the photo of us atop the espresso mocktail martinis," Demi says. "They were so creative!"

The first dance was pure magic: Johnny Rzeznik from the Goo Goo Dolls performed "Iris" live. "It was surreal," Demi remembers. "This was a pinch-us moment. It's our favorite song and has so much meaning to both of us."

After thanking their guests, the newlyweds cut into their four-tiered lemon cake by Room for Cake. "We chose lemon cake as it's Jordan and my favorite," Demi shares.

The night's fashion parade continued as Demi changed into a custom Lapointe suit with Jimmy Choo heels for the after-party, followed by a short off-the-shoulder send-off look custom-made by Idan Cohen with Gianvito Rossi heels. All jewelry throughout the weekend came courtesy of XIV Karats.

When Paris Hilton took over the DJ booth, the celebration reached new heights. "Paris literally shook the dance floor with her DJ skills," Demi says. "And I mean the entire floor moved with her beats." Guests captured memories in a photo booth by MirMir before the newlyweds made their grand exit through a sparkler tunnel formed by loved ones, jumping into a vintage white Cadillac and speeding off into the Santa Barbara night.

Love, Complete and Uncompromising

"I just felt loved," Demi reflects on her wedding day. "All that life has brought me to this moment, and it was more than worth it. It was so special being able to marry my best friend, my soulmate, and the love of my life. It's hard to put into words what Jordan means to me. To find a love like this has completed my life in so many ways. We both put the work into ourselves first to be ready and open to share a life together, and I think that is a really important part of our relationship. We don't complete each other as we did the work to complete ourselves first—and I think that's a really important thing to do."

Jordan echoes the sentiment with equal passion: "I'm so excited to start this life with my soulmate. It feels like we've been married forever and now we officially are. I'm excited to do life with my best friend. To be able to wake up with Demi, to be surrounded by her infectious laugh, her playful spirit, and her loving heart is a true gift and one that I don't take for granted."

"Planning the wedding has been a lot of fun," Demi admits. "It feels like we were waiting for Christmas morning each and every day leading up to the main event." And after a weekend this magical, with every detail perfectly executed, she adds: "I feel ready to start our lives together. And I have to say that there is not one single thing I would have changed about the wedding."
