The idea came to life in a moment of stillness, wandering through the enchanting gardens of Villa Serbelloni in Bellagio, Lake Como. The early autumn light was soft and low, slipping between branches and casting golden shadows across age-old stone paths. That light—gentle, golden, almost touchable—became the soul of this editorial.

“I pictured two brides, hand in hand, bathed in the light of late afternoon,” shares @azalea.eventsitaly, the creative director and planner behind the shoot. “Yellow would be our guiding hue: delicate yet radiant, subtle yet powerful.”

What unfolded was a golden-hued love story, captured in a way that feels cinematic and deeply personal. Bringing this vision to life meant curating a team who could not only understand the atmosphere, but elevate it. For photography, the planner turned to Tina and Phil of @ladoree_studio, whose poetic mastery of light and emotion made them the perfect storytellers for this setting. “Their images captured not just beauty, but feeling—frames filled with softness, structure, and soul, each kissed with gold.”

The Details: Where Every Element Tells a Story

Every element of the editorial was shaped to let the story unfold naturally within the villa’s majestic yet intimate setting. The sculptural bridal gowns by @lebaobabsposa brought movement and quiet drama to the scene, draping elegantly through hallways and cascading down marble steps. The hair and makeup, styled by @blbsmanagement and @francescacalo_mua, highlighted each model’s natural beauty with modern refinement—fresh, glowy, and ethereal.

Florals by @dellabellafiori were intentionally delicate, embracing a palette of soft neutrals and golden tones that echoed the villa’s sun-washed architecture. Arrangements felt almost spontaneous, as if the blooms had grown into place with the light.

And the venue—@villaserbellonibellagio—was not just a backdrop but a character of its own. With its sweeping lake views, manicured gardens, and historical elegance, the villa offered a stage for every emotion and detail to breathe.

Lake Como: The Shimmering Heart of the Scene

Lake Como itself played a starring role throughout the shoot—its crystalline waters reflecting the warm glow of the afternoon sun, creating a shimmering backdrop that shifted from deep sapphire to liquid gold as the day progressed. The gentle lapping of waves against the villa's shoreline added a sense of tranquility to each frame, while the lake's mirror-like surface captured the surrounding mountains and cypress trees in perfect symmetry. This interplay between water and light became an essential element of the narrative, reminding us that the most breathtaking backdrops are often shaped by nature's own poetry.

The water became more than scenery; it was a living element that breathed rhythm into the editorial. Between takes, the brides wandered to the water's edge, their gowns catching the breeze off the lake. The way light danced across the ripples created an ever-changing canvas—no two moments were the same. This constant movement, this dialogue between stillness and flow, reminded everyone on set why Lake Como has captivated lovers and artists for centuries.

The result is more than a styled shoot—it’s a visual poem, composed in shades of yellow and gold. A tribute to the golden hour, it balances strength with softness, grandeur with intimacy, and tradition with modernity. For couples dreaming of an Italian destination wedding filled with heart, beauty, and story—this is your muse.
