Since childhood, Joseph felt drawn to cameras — how they could capture life unfolding in real time and preserve simple moments forever. The joy he found in pointing a lens at everyday events helped him discover a deeper calling: storytelling through moving images. Around 2011 he started filming family gatherings and travels, editing clips and building a feel for color, light, and emotion.
Then in 2013 a friend asked, “Could you film our wedding?” Joseph agreed — and that project changed everything. He immersed himself in the challenge and beauty of capturing people’s most meaningful day.
That spark, that fascination with visual storytelling, became the foundation of what would grow into B&G Wedding Films.
Over the past 12 years Joseph has filmed countless weddings across different cultures and settings, always focusing on people — their emotions, quirks, laughter, and tears.
“People. All the different kinds of characters and stories we encounter.”
For him, every couple is unique, every guest a new character, every moment a little story. He doesn’t chase over-the-top cinematic dramatics. Instead, he aims to capture the natural flow of a wedding day: light laughter, fleeting glances, spontaneous joy. That approach has become his signature — a soft, honest style that feels alive.
Joseph describes his creative style with three simple but powerful words: Natural, bright, fun.
He uses Canon cameras for intimate, genuine footage and DJI drones to add sweeping aerial perspectives that contextualize each wedding setting — whether a rustic estate, a garden venue, or a cliff-side ceremony in France. The result feels real, warm, and full of life.
He doesn’t direct or stage unnecessarily. Instead, he trusts in the day’s energy and lets true emotions shine through.
This philosophy allows couples to experience their day naturally — as they would if nobody was filming.
Joseph offers straightforward but heartfelt advice for engaged couples preparing their big day: plan carefully, then allow yourselves to live in the moment.
“Plan every detail and then on the day you can put all the details and planning away and enjoy every moment.”
That advice embraces the idea that perfection comes not from flawless execution, but from sincere emotion and presence. When couples relax, film becomes something deeper — a living, breathing memory.
Looking back, Joseph keeps things simple yet powerful:
In those two words lies encouragement, belief and the strength he needed at the start of his journey. It’s also the message he brings to each new couple: trust, breathe, and let the day unfold.
Yes — he does destination weddings. And though every location holds magic, Joseph says he has a soft spot for France. The country’s timeless landscapes, soft light, and diverse venues speak to his style. Filming there allows him to blend cinematic beauty with authentic emotion — creating wedding films that feel like timeless keepsakes.
Because Joseph isn’t chasing cinematic trends — he’s chasing souls. He films real smiles, real tears, real laughs. His work doesn’t feel posed or artificial; it feels like life itself. Every film tells a unique story. Every couple’s love remains the center.
For couples who want their wedding memories captured simply, beautifully and with heart — B&G Wedding Films offers more than just video. They offer a slice of life, framed in light and love.
