In the realm of wedding cinematography, where moments are immortalized and emotions are captured in motion, few names resonate with the same level of artistry and innovation as Caputo Films. Founded by the dynamic duo of Marco Caputo and Angelica Mazza, this Italian-based studio has redefined the art of wedding videography, elevating it from mere documentation to cinematic storytelling.

The Team's Background

In the heart of Italy, where art and tradition intertwine, Marco Caputo's story begins. He was born into a family of photographers. As a child, he began frequenting his uncle Raf's studio, who he considers his first great master. Here, he was fascinated by everything around him: the darkroom, the paper, and photographic film; and always here, he became acquainted with the first notions of Chemistry and Painting.

Marco’s passion for moving images and photography literally burst out at the university, when he started studying Cinema, under the guidance of exceptional professors, who helped him stimulate his creativity. He later completed his education in Madrid, Oxford and New York. Now, he is regarded as one of the leading European wedding cinematographers, and among the first to have revolutionized the approach to authorship in the wedding video.

Alongside Marco stands Angelica Mazza, whose path to videography was equally compelling. Keen to details, she loves to combine her job with her passion for travel, as well as her interest in fashion and design. She approached the world of video-making while still attending university, thus ending up pursuing a different career path than her degree course. Marco, as her husband, friend and mentor, guided her and helped her developed her own personal approach. She brings enthusiasm and artistic sensibility into her work.

In her ten-year career, she has had the honor of filming weddings, in many countries around the world: in the United States, Mexico, Europe and the Middle East. Her gentle character highlights her love for others and for what surrounds her.

Their partnership, both personal and professional, seems to dance in perfect harmony, each complementing the other's strengths.

Experience in the Field

When asked about their experience, the answer is simple yet powerful: "15 years." A decade and a half of honing their craft, of capturing countless "I dos" and first dances.

Their unique approach to wedding cinematography is evident in how they describe their studio: "Caputo films studio is a full service cinematography studio committed to telling your love story through Dolce Vita-style of the highest caliber. We strive to foster a strong connection with our clients and a gain a true understanding of their vision and goals."

You can almost see the care they take with each couple, listening intently to their stories, and their dreams for their big day. "We’re committed to capture the organic in-between moments. We strive to tell a natural but elegant story of your big day. Over the past 15 years, Caputo films has specialized in documenting weddings and events across the globe for a high-end international clientele," they add.

Their tool of choice is simple yet effective: "Sony cameras." In their hands, these cameras become extensions of their artistic vision, capturing moments with stunning clarity and emotion.

Their Approach to Videography

Their philosophy is encapsulated in a single, powerful statement: "Our vision is to be guests with cameras." Imagine Marco and Angelica blending seamlessly into the wedding party, their presence so natural that even the most camera-shy subjects forget they're being filmed.

Their commitment to Italian craftsmanship shines through in their words: "Made in Italy has become a synonym for quality, elegance, and craftsmanship all over the world. This brand has become so important that the term "Made in Italy" is often used as a guarantee label for products that bear its name."

You can almost feel the weight of tradition and excellence in their work, each frame a testament to their heritage. "The importance of Made in Italy lies in its long tradition of craftsmanship excellence and design. Italy is famous for its culture of "making" and its ability to create high-quality products with distinctive designs. Attention to detail and care for quality are fundamental values in Italian manufacturing culture, and have been passed down from generation to generation."

Their exclusivity is reflected in their numbers. Just twenty lucky couples each year get to experience the Caputo Films magic. Ten hours of coverage, each minute filled with potential for capturing timeless moments.

When asked about their preferred locations, they respond: "Lake Como and French Riviera." Envision the glamour of these locales - the shimmering waters of Lake Como, and the sun-drenched beaches of the French Riviera - serving as stunning backdrops for their cinematic creations.

Their parting wisdom for couples is beautifully succinct: "Believe in love :)" In these three simple words, you can feel the passion and dedication that Marco and Angelica bring to every wedding they film, turning fleeting moments into timeless memories.
