“I’ll be honest, becoming a wedding planner wasn’t some lifelong dream,” she shares. “What I did always know was that I wanted to own a business. I’ve always loved design, planning, and keeping things organized, so when I was job-hunting and saw a planning position open, I went for it.”

“The owner at the time loved my personality, took me under her wing, and taught me everything. Within three years, I bought the company from her and grew it into what Infinite Events is today.”
It wasn’t serendipity. It wasn’t luck.
“It wasn’t about following a passion. It was about recognizing an opportunity, working hard, and building something I’m incredibly proud of.”
Despite the logistics, timelines, and endless decisions that come with planning weddings, Erica’s favorite part remains beautifully simple: the people.
“What I love most about my job is the people and the stories. Every couple has their own journey, their own dynamic, and their own reasons for choosing each other.”

“It’s not just about the wedding day. It’s about witnessing love, connection, and the start of a new chapter for each of our couples.”

“We’re especially at home at Rosecliff and Castle Hill Inn. We absolutely love those properties and know them incredibly well, which makes the planning and execution process even smoother for our couples.”

“My biggest advice is to always read the cancellation and rescheduling policies carefully. Those sections matter more than people realize. Make sure you understand payment schedules, what’s refundable, and what happens if plans need to change.”
She emphasizes one more thing — never hesitate to ask questions.
One of the most overlooked parts of planning? The backup plan.
My main advice is to plan your weather backup at the same time you plan the main wedding. We always build Option B right alongside Option A so that if we need to pivot, our couples already feel prepared and confident.
Confidence, after all, is the antidote to stress.

“One of the biggest challenges we’ve faced is managing expectations versus reality, especially when it comes to the overall scope of planning a wedding, Pinterest inspiration that doesn’t always translate in real life, and what things actually cost.”

“Educating clients early is key. By guiding couples through these details, we help them make informed decisions and ensure their vision is both beautiful and achievable.”

“The easiest way to stay on budget is to start with the guest list. Each guest adds a significant cost, so it’s important to really consider who needs to be there.”
Beyond numbers, she focuses on intentional choices.
“Sometimes it’s about distinguishing wants versus needs. We also help identify where to splurge and where to save, tailored to each couple’s preferences, because every wedding is unique.”
For Erica, timelines begin at the end.
“My main advice when creating a timeline is to work backwards. We start with the reception and key moments there, then plan the ceremony, cocktail hour, and finally the morning schedule.”

“My best advice for couples currently planning their wedding is that one of the wisest investments you can make is hiring a wedding planner.”
