Olivia began taking photos as a college student in Charleston, starry-eyed and inspired in her new city. Eager to share her new routines with family back home, she fell in love with photography as a way of archiving personal moments.

Little did she know that this simple desire to document her newfound routines would blossom into a lifelong passion. After years of focusing on lifestyle and editorial photography, she fell into weddings serendipitously, which allowed her to document the innate beauty of the day without overthinking it. With more than a decade of experience in the industry, she approaches wedding days free of expectations, inspired by natural light and real moments. The result? Warm, soulful images that feel utterly timeless.

Her approach is that of a silent witness, blending seamlessly into the background as she captures the raw, unscripted beauty of love's grandest celebration. "Getting to be a fly on the wall at such a momentous occasion — and witnessing the energy and excitement and beauty and stress and everything in between — is magic!" she exclaims. "I love getting to observe and preserve the range of emotions."

Heirlooms for Future Generations

For Olivia, each frame she captures is more than just a pretty picture; it's a vignette, a story waiting to be told. "I can't help but think about the future generations who will study these photos the way I study my own family’s wedding albums," she muses.

It's the in-between moments that truly captivate her: "When the bride's veil gets tangled in the wind, the flower girl melts down, or the couple is en route to the "perfect" portrait spot but the light is already hitting them just right and they’re gazing at each other adoringly — all things that can’t be planned." These are the moments she lives for, the moments that make love so beautifully human.

A Masterful Technician

Of course, Olivia's artistry extends far beyond her philosophical approach. With a keen eye for technique, she wields her trusty Sony A series and a carefully curated collection of prime lenses, crafting each image with the precision of a master painter.

"The best way to get amazing wedding photos is to forget about the photos and be present," she advises her clients. By putting them at ease and allowing the day to unfold organically, Olivia is able to capture the true essence of their love story.

A Global Canvas

While her heart may reside in the warmth of her beloved Charleston, Olivia's wanderlust has taken her across the globe, painting love's masterpieces on an ever-changing canvas. "Almost 100% of the weddings I shoot are destination," she confides. "It's hard to beat France and Italy, but I also love tropical weddings - I love the light and colors of Harbour Island and Mexico."

No matter the setting, Olivia's images are imbued with a warmth and soulfulness that has earned her recognition from the likes of many magazines worldwide, cementing her status as one of the world's top wedding photographers.

In the end, Olivia's true reward lies not in accolades, but in the magic she witnesses and preserves for eternity. For her, each wedding day is a masterpiece unto itself, and she is simply the fortunate artist granted the privilege of committing its beauty to the canvas.
