For Paco & Aga, photography was something that had been a part of their lives long before they met. As they describe, "Photography was always a hobby for each of us, but after meeting in 2011, it took us only two years to realize that we could do it together and make a living out of it." By 2013, their passion had turned into a full-fledged career, and they’ve never looked back.

The Paco & Aga Style

When it comes to defining their style, Paco & Aga take a unique approach, blending documentary photography with elegance. "We consider our approach to be mostly documentary, but full of style and elegance," they explain. Their goal is to be as unobtrusive as possible, allowing the day to unfold naturally while still capturing the key moments. "For most of the day, you won't see us, but we will be there to guide you through the portrait session and make sure you look your best."

This subtle yet supportive presence ensures that couples feel at ease, resulting in photos that are both authentic and refined. Whether it’s an emotional first look or a candid laugh shared during the reception, Paco & Aga know how to freeze those moments in time.

Gear and Tools of the Trade

Every photographer has their go-to equipment, and for Paco & Aga, it’s a mix of digital and analog tools. "We use Canon R6 II with 28-70 and 24-70 lenses for the digital part," they share. However, they also have a deep love for film photography. "For the analog shots, we use various different cameras like the Pentax 645n, Fuji GA645, Canon EOS3, EOS50, and EOS10, and sometimes even the Yashica T4."

This combination of modern digital technology and the timeless beauty of film gives their work a unique texture and depth. The film cameras, in particular, add a layer of nostalgia and warmth to their images, making them stand out in a world dominated by digital photography.

Keeping It Real: The Editing Process

When it comes to editing, Paco & Aga strive to maintain the integrity of the original image. "Our goal with post-processing is to keep the colors as natural as possible, without giving an over-processed feeling." This commitment to preserving the natural beauty of the moment means that their photos feel both fresh and timeless. By focusing on enhancing rather than altering the scene, they ensure that their work remains a true reflection of the day.

A Connection with Couples

What sets Paco & Aga apart is their genuine connection with the couples they work with. They emphasize communication as a key part of their process, ensuring that they are aligned with their client’s vision before the big day. "We speak with our couples before the wedding day and ask many questions, so we are sure we are aligned on the day and can get the desired shots without having to dedicate much time to it."

This thoughtful approach allows them to capture all the important moments without disrupting the flow of the day. The result? Stunning photos that tell a couple’s love story without making them feel like they’re posing for the camera.

One of the things that excites Paco & Aga most about their work is the opportunity to shoot destination weddings. They’ve traveled to some of the most beautiful places in the world to capture love stories, and their favorite destinations include Italy, France, and Mexico. "Italy, France, and Mexico are our favorite wedding destinations," they share. These locations, known for their picturesque landscapes and romantic atmospheres, offer the perfect backdrop for their signature style of photography.

Tips for Couples

When asked if they have any advice for couples preparing for their wedding photos, Paco & Aga highlight the importance of selecting the right team. "Choose great vendors who not only do a good job but also bring good energy on the day." They believe that the people surrounding the couple on their wedding day—whether it’s the photographer, the planner, or even the florist—play a huge role in setting the tone for the event.

The Joy of Wedding Photography

For Paco & Aga, the greatest reward of their work is the opportunity to be part of a couple’s most important day. "Being part of the most important day of someone's life every weekend" is something they cherish deeply. Every wedding brings new experiences, new emotions, and new stories to capture, and they feel privileged to be entrusted with such an important task.

Looking Ahead

As Paco & Aga continue to grow their photography business, they remain committed to delivering high-quality, personalized experiences for their couples. They are always exploring new destinations and techniques, particularly in the realm of analog photography, to keep their creative spark alive.

In a world filled with countless wedding photographers, Paco & Aga stand out for their authenticity, passion, and dedication to their craft. Whether shooting in the hills of Tuscany or the beaches of Mexico, they bring their unique blend of documentary-style and elegance to every wedding, capturing love in its most genuine form.
