In the heart of Charleston, South Carolina, a love story unlike any other was born – a tale not of two smitten souls, but of two kindred spirits united by a singular passion: capturing love in its purest, most unfiltered form. This is the story of G&M Visions, a photography and videography company that emerged from the ashes of 2020, a year that challenged the world in ways we never could have imagined.
"We are Georgia and Micah, destination wedding and elopement photographers based in Charleston, SC. We all know 2020 was one of those years where a lot changed…and I mean A LOT! One of those changes, however, was one of the best things to ever happen because, well, G&M Visions was born!" Georgia reminisced, her eyes sparkling with the memory. "We got a once in a lifetime opportunity to shoot a friends wedding during 2020 and it was the start of a company we never saw coming."
Micah chimed in, his voice brimming with conviction, "After that first wedding, we both knew this was what we wanted to do and before we knew it, G&M Visions was born and we were fully booked by the end of 2021. We now live in Charleston, SC, and get to travel all over to document weddings and build relationships with the most amazing people."
With an unwavering commitment to their craft, Georgia and Micah embarked on a journey to redefine the boundaries of wedding photography and videography. "Our wedding photography and videography style is one that focuses on the small, intimate, imperfect moments, rather than the “picture perfect” moment," Georgia explained. "So what does this mean? The small, intimate, and imperfect moments are the ones where you’re laughing your booty off, embracing a warm hug, running into the ocean with your best friend, and simply being present with your favorite person in the world."
Micah nodded in agreement, his eyes alight with passion. "These are the moments we cherish and the ones when you look back at the photos and the videos, you remember how you felt versus looking at a “perfect” picture."
Armed with an arsenal of state-of-the-art equipment, including the Canon R6 Mark 2, Canon 28-70mm 2.0 lens, and Canon 85mm 1.2 lens, Georgia and Micah wield their tools like true artisans. Every image is a blank canvas and G&M Visions has the privilege of painting it with light, color, and emotion. And then, in the digital darkroom, they meticulously craft each piece, ensuring that every detail, every nuance, is perfectly captured and preserved for eternity.
But what truly sets G&M Visions apart is their dedication to forging lasting connections with their clients. "Meeting people!" Georgia beamed. "This is seriously the best part of the job and we’ve met some amazing and super cool people throughout the years. We also have been able to travel to some amazing places as well!"
Micah added, his words infused with warmth, "We have an entire process we do to ensure a great client experience and it starts with having a client consult to talk through their vision. From here we get to know each other and talk through their wants and needs and make sure we are a good fit for one another."
With a thirst for adventure that knows no bounds, Georgia and Micah have traversed the globe, capturing love's most intimate tales against breathtaking backdrops. "Glacier National Park in Montana is absolutely amazing!" Micah gushed, his eyes alight with wonder. "Out of the country, Greece would be the top pick!" There's something truly magical about the way the sun dances across the Grecian islands, casting a warm, golden glow that seems to make love radiate from within.
In the grand tapestry of life, G&M Visions stands as a testament to the enduring power of love, frozen in time through their artistry. With each click of the shutter, they invite you to embark on a journey of self-discovery, where the true essence of love is laid bare, raw, and utterly captivating.
Their work is more than just photographs and videos. It's a celebration of the human experience, a reminder that love is worth cherishing, worth preserving, and worth sharing with the world.
