When you step into Anni Graham’s world, you immediately sense the harmony she has built between the personal and the professional. “I've been shooting weddings for 15 years, have been in the industry full time for 9 years,” she shares. Living in Oregon with her two boys, she navigates a career that demands presence and emotional energy while still nurturing a full, grounded life at home.

Her journey began with formal training in photojournalism. “I studied photojournalism in college so I have some formal training but have mostly taught myself everything I know,” she says. That blend — structured visual storytelling mixed with self-taught exploration — is exactly what gives her work its signature texture: emotional, honest, intentional.

Motherhood has become another quiet teacher. “I am a mom of two beautiful boys and love to have a rich, full life at home while navigating this demanding job,” she reflects. “Finding the balance has been tough but I'm learning all the time.”

Fifteen Years of Moments That Matter

Although she entered the wedding world in 2010, Anni made it her full-time career nine years ago. Since then, she has photographed celebrations across continents — intimate elopements, iconic destinations, and timeless gatherings in California, New York, Iceland, Montana, the coast, and more.

Her creative core has remained steady: “I hope my work speaks to more of a documentary style with a little edge of portraiture. I love the in-between moments, being a fly on the wall, capturing all the emotion and real moments without much intervention but I also love to put together a really beautiful portrait.”

This balance — gentle observation paired with crafted artistry — is what makes her storytelling feel both cinematic and deeply human.

Tools, Craft & The Signature Anni Graham Edit

Anni shoots a thoughtful mix of mediums: digital, medium format film, and 35mm. Each is chosen with intention, always serving the narrative of the day.

Her editing process is equally handcrafted. “I make my own presets and have been selling them for a few years now and I edit all my images with those,” she explains. These tones have become instantly recognizable — refined yet organic, warm yet honest, designed to preserve emotion rather than overpower it.

The Gift of Photography — And Why It Still Moves Her

For Anni, wedding photography is more than a career. It’s a calling.

“As a job, it's a gift to be able to do something so meaningful and creative for someone's family,” she shares.

ТI don't think many people get to have a job that mixes something they love (photography) with something that is so meaningful for people so I'm really grateful for that.

But beyond the artistry, it's the lifestyle that fills her with gratitude. “Apart from the days that I'm on a job and traveling, I mostly get to be home with my family. It's given me a lot of flexibility as I navigate being a new mom… I have a job that I can change and morph into what I need that year as I grow and change as a person, as a mom.”

That adaptability is woven into every part of her brand — fluid, intentional, built to support real life.

How She Collaborates With Clients & Planners

Anni’s process is anchored in communication, visual clarity, and understanding the soul of a wedding day.

“My clients are mostly piecing their wedding together with their wedding planner,” she explains. “A month or two before the wedding date I like to get on a call with the planner and the client to get a full picture of what has been planned… what I can expect and anticipate for their day.”

This conversation is where the story begins. “I love seeing the design deck, seeing any inspiration they have pulled… what kind of photography they love, what they want me to capture, what kind of style they are attracted to, things that are important that they don't want me to miss.”

Once she has this visual map, she prepares her team so they can navigate the day seamlessly and intuitively.

Crafting Experiences Through Custom Packages

No two couples are the same — and neither are Anni’s offerings. “Always, I only do custom packages,” she says. It’s a philosophy that lets her honor each couple’s priorities, pace, and vision.

Her Advice to Couples: Share Your Visual Language

Photographers often think in images, not words — and Anni loves when clients bring her into their inspiration.

“Photographers speak a really visual language so anything you can share… gives photographers so much information as to what you love, the personality you have, the ways in which they can direct you to capture that kind of aesthetic and emotion,” she explains.

You don’t necessarily recreate that exact look or pose — but it gives us the lens to look through. Your lens.

Destination Weddings & the Places That Inspire Her

Anni’s passport is well-loved, and her eye sharpens in new environments. “Yes! I've always loved really wide open spaces like Iceland, Montana, or the coast,” she says.

But lately, a new muse has emerged: character-filled interiors. “Lately I've had a huge appreciation for interiors and venues that have red carpet and wood walls,” she adds.

Something funky that really brings a unique vibe.

Whether she’s photographing expansive landscapes or intimate rooms filled with history, Anni looks for depth — a sense of place that heightens the emotion.

A Legacy of Honest, Human Storytelling

Fifteen years in, Anni Graham’s work feels more layered than ever — shaped by experience, motherhood, travel, and a deep respect for the real, unposed moments couples treasure for life.

Her photography is not just about documenting a wedding. It is about preserving the truth of a day, the heartbeat of a relationship, and the fleeting seconds that reveal who people really are when they feel loved.

And for Anni, that will always be the story worth telling.
