“I’ve been in the wedding industry since 2007, starting my career working at venues. I really enjoyed that side of the industry, but I found myself craving more involvement in the planning of all the little details. That’s how Nouvelle Weddings was born in 2009.”

Before venturing into wedding planning, the founder was already involved in event management from an early age. High school experiences managing events in the theater department sparked an interest in behind-the-scenes coordination, leading her to event planning:

“I’ve always been very organized and detail-oriented. I love spreadsheets and anything that requires a high level of organization. Event planning felt like a natural fit.”

Initially working across various events, including corporate and social gatherings, the team quickly realized their true passion lay in weddings, where personal connection and creativity flourished.

“In Baltimore, we work at the Four Seasons and the Baltimore Museum of Art a lot. We also find ourselves regularly in Northern Virginia at venues like Goodstone Inn and Salamander Resort.”

“Social media doesn’t come with price tags, and most couples are finding inspiration photos online without having any idea of what their vision will cost. One of our first jobs is to have those conversations about realistic costs.”
