Where do we even begin? From the very first moment we started planning our wedding with Maria, right through to the very last goodbye, everything was truly beyond our wildest dreams.

Everyone tells you that something will always go wrong on a wedding day, but we can genuinely say, hand on heart, that every single detail was absolutely perfect. Not one thing was missed. Not one detail was overlooked. Our entire wedding week felt like a dream, and we were able to completely relax and enjoy every single moment because we knew Maria had everything under control.

Maria is the most incredible wedding planner. She is exceptionally professional, organised and attentive, but what makes her truly special is the way she makes you feel. Her number one priority is making sure the bride and groom feel completely relaxed, looked after and able to enjoy their wedding without having to worry about a single thing. Her energy, warmth and aura are genuinely beautiful, and we felt so lucky to have her by our side.

She was there every step of the way — not just for our wedding day at Cavo Ventus, but throughout all of our pre-wedding and post-wedding events too. We honestly didn’t have to think about anything. Everything was organised, coordinated and executed seamlessly, allowing us to simply be present and soak up every second with our family and friends.

And the end result was nothing short of spectacular.

Every vendor involved was truly 5-star. From the breathtaking Cavo Ventus venue, incredible food and drinks, amazing DJ, exquisite styling and decorations, to the lighting and every tiny finishing touch — everything was absolutely beautiful. Our family and friends couldn’t stop talking about how perfect the entire day and week was.

But behind every perfect detail was Maria.

You took our vision and turned it into something even more beautiful than we could have imagined. You gave us a wedding that went far beyond our expectations and created a day that genuinely felt like a real-life fairytale.

There are no words to properly thank you for the memories you have given us. We wish we could go back and relive the feeling of walking into our wedding, seeing everything for the first time and being surrounded by all the people we love most.

Maria, thank you from the absolute bottom of our hearts. You were a huge part of making our wedding the most magical, unforgettable and perfect day of our lives, and we will forever be grateful.

The Most Incredible Wedding Planner — Maria Sarma (Santorini Wedding Planners) Is Simply the Best!

Words cannot describe how grateful we are to have had Maria by our side to plan our special day with us for over a year. She has been nothing short of incredible. From our very first video call, we immediately felt her warmth and kindness, and we felt truly listened to. From that first meeting to saying goodbye after our dream wedding weekend in Santorini, Maria was absolutely exceptional every step of the way. She didn’t just help us plan the most perfect wedding — she created an entire experience for us and our guests that we will remember for the rest of our lives, and along the way she truly became our friend.

We had a traditional Greek Orthodox Church ceremony at the Metropoli Church in Fira, followed by an incredible wedding reception at the Infinity Pool at Rocabella Santorini. Something that we particularly appreciated about Maria’s 10+ years of wedding planning was her experience with Greek Orthodox ceremonies. International weddings require an extensive paperwork process, and Church weddings add an additional logistical layer. Maria made even this portion of planning seamless and organized. She communicated with our priest, helped us have all of our paperwork ready, and even did a ceremony rehearsal with us herself. In addition to the actual wedding day, Maria helped us plan our welcome event at Kaliya and our catamaran boat send-off party with Sunset Oia. Looking back, it feels almost impossible to believe that everything came together so beautifully and seamlessly across multiple days/events - but Maria made it happen. Throughout everything, Maria was organized, responsive, knowledgeable, calm, and incredibly attentive to every detail (many of which we never would have even thought of!). We always knew we were in the best hands.

One of the things that stood out most to us were Maria’s recommendations. Planning a wedding from across the world is certainly non-traditional - I didn’t taste cake samples, see fabrics, or even visit our venue until the wedding week! Now when reflecting on our wedding, I recognize just how critical working with someone with excellent recommendations was. You trust them with everything, and I got so lucky with Maria. She was the perfect partner who understood my vision and suggested ideas I wouldn’t have even thought of, and together we created a wedding that was more beautiful than I could’ve ever imagined. Every vendor, detail, and suggestion she made felt carefully considered and perfectly suited to what we wanted - intentional, elegant, and beautifully executed. She has such an incredible knowledge of Santorini and the wedding industry there, and we trusted her judgment completely. When we had all of our pre-wedding meetings with various vendors after arriving in Santorini, it was evident that she has built strong, trusting relationships over her years of planning - everyone loves her!

I think what we will remember most, though, is how much peace of mind Maria gave us. I was very nervous about the wedding planning process for a destination wedding. However, on our wedding day, we were able to be completely present. We weren't checking timelines, worrying about vendors, wondering if something had been set up correctly, or trying to solve problems behind the scenes. We got to enjoy every second with each other, our families, and our friends because we knew Maria was handling everything. That is priceless. We saw our vision come to life around us, and it was a dream come true.

On the day of our wedding, we experienced an unexpected family accident. It was an incredibly stressful situation, but Maria’s calm, reassuring presence gave us complete peace of mind. She took control of everything, allowing us to focus on our family, knowing our wedding was in the safest possible hands. We can never thank her enough for the care, compassion, and professionalism she showed during such a difficult moment.

We know we’ll be returning to beautiful Santorini in the near future, and one of the biggest reasons is to see Maria again. Wow, so much to say!
First, I am a very type A bride who loves her spreadsheets and has had an exact vision of what my wedding should look like since I was old enough to dream. Maria was very patient with me on this, even when I sent her a huge spreadsheet with every small decor detail listed on there a few weeks after getting engaged. If you are also Type A, it may be a bit jarring at first when you’re trying to plan out all the details 8+ months in advance and waiting for replies, but through Maria’s gentle reminders I started to realize the priority of things I was asking and that it’s okay to take a breath and not need everything done right away. I’d also encourage you to communicate that to her like I did, as she has a lot of weddings and may take weeks to respond on something that isn’t necessarily on the radar yet in her mind. Communication is key!
Other than that, everything truly felt like a dream. Maria executed my vision in ways I could not have imagined, and was able to help make it more magical with recommendations here and there that added to my “fairytale” vibe. Finding vendors was really easy thanks to her recommendations, which took a huge weight off of me. Every vendor she recommended was incredible to work with as well.
We got so many compliments from friends and family stating this was the best and prettiest wedding they’ve ever been to, and for me it really did feel like all my dreams came true. Maria is willing to go to bat for you when needed with the vendors, but she also brings a very relaxed and carefree energy that I desperately needed and appreciated on the day of the wedding. She even helped me put on my shoes when my legs were shaking too much!
So, as long as you can handle relaxing during the busy months and being okay with longer communication times, I promise she is going to make everything great for you!

Maria is a fabulous wedding planner - her creative ideas, caliber of venue recommendations/vendor selections, and logistics are nothing short of amazing. She takes care of every detail and is on hand at all times to handle anything and everything to ensure you can enjoy every minute.
