Top 30 Overall my photographic style as a wedding photographer has been shaped by a combination of my background in fine art and my own persona artistic influences like music, movies and editorial photography. The melange of all these influences has allowed me to blur the lines between Fine Art Editorial and Documentary photography which is my ultimate goal when photographing a wedding.
The documentary side of my work is all about anticipating fleeting moments and being hyper aware of how people interact with one another and their environments. The editorial edge I bring to my work has a sort of “anti-bride / anti-groom” approach to help empower the couple and create impactful portraiture that becomes a standout memory for them. I want to create a sense of atmosphere and mood with my images so it’s important to focus on building comfort with the couples I work with and also about approaching certain things with detailed attention.

A former classmate of mine had used Ryanne for her intimate backyard wedding. I was absolutely stunned at how beautiful the pictures were; not posed and contrived, just candid and beautiful. Without a hesitation, I would recommend Ryanne to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. Aside from her obvious talent behind the camera, Ryanne was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is professional, personable, responsive, and she has an inherent ability to make you feel at ease while being photographed (especially if you are not the most comfortable in front of a camera!). Many of our wedding guests were impressed by Ryanne's ability to capture all of the important moments without 'intruding' on the day. We were completely blown away by our engagement and wedding photos and the beautiful wedding albums Ryanne put together for us. We especially loved her ability to capture the natural and un-planned moments of our wedding day, and the way she photographs and presents the final product unfolds as a perfect story. We ended up booking Ryanne for our wedding after our original photographer cancelled on us somewhat last minute. It was a blessing in disguise because she was absolutely amazing! Throughout the planning process, she was super easy to get in touch with and was able to offer a lot of advice/ideas. We live in Florida, so we never got to meet Ryanne before our wedding day (with the exception of a poor quality video chat), but when we met her and Brian, we instantly felt comfortable. They were both easy going, fun, and professional. They captured all of the small details and candid emotional moments throughout the day. Our photos are perfect; we couldn’t be happier. We also loved the blog post that Ryanne made; it felt really personal and was a great way to share our photos with all of our friends and family. My husband Michael and I hired Ryanne to shoot our engagement and wedding photos for our October 2020 wedding. We met with Ryanne and Brian (her partner and second photographer) prior to hiring them, and they were very professional, able to answer all of our questions and were just really nice people! We scheduled our engagement shoot for a 6am sunrise, which turned out to be an absolute downpour. We decided to proceed anyway, and Ryanne and Brian got some really amazing shots, despite the weather and how drenched we were. Because the weather wasn't what we had planned, Ryanne offered to schedule a make-up shoot at no cost to us - something that was completely unexpected but truly appreciated. Our wedding day was much of the same - Ryanne and Brian went above and beyond to capture all of the day's important moments, all without you even realizing they were there taking your photo. To say we are happy with our experience would be an understatement. Our photos are amazing and we will be using Ryanne and Brian for any future professional photography.

I’m usually reticent about leaving reviews for products or services, but I had to make an exception for Ryanne. Ryanne and her partner Brjánn photographed our wedding and engagement. We were looking for photographers who would make us feel at ease and who could record the day for us with a gentle touch. Ryanne and Brjánn ticked every box. Their attention to detail both in how they approached preparing for our wedding with us and on the actual day was exceptional. How can I truly say thank you to someone who impacted our lives in such a special way? Ryanne Hollies photographed our wedding at the Thompson Hotel in September 2021. She is spectacular. Every step of the way, she was easy to talk to, receptive and responsive. On the day of she was incredibly professional, capturing special moments throughout the day. Her talented eye behind the lens captured our wedding in memorable ways that we reflect on whenever we see the photos. She intertwined our love for each other and our love for our city, Toronto, through her creativity and vision.
