The Wedding Planner and Curator

My husband and I are NYC based and wanted to have our destination wedding in Lisbon. We expected 130 guests to show up (which they did!) and to add more complexity to the matter, we are from different religions, which meant our wedding would entail 2 venues, 3 meals, 2 ceremonies and 2 big parties across 2 days, all with a very different vibe. We both are also not very creative or artistic people, so we have trouble really knowing and describing what we want until we see it.

Enter Catarina, Pedro and Ana. They were the first wedding planning company we spoke to, and immediately we connected. To be prudent, we had conversations with many other planners, as we wanted to make sure that we made the right choice. Some planners never came back with a proposal after our call, some planners took 2 weeks to come back, Catarina, Pedro and Ana came back to us very quickly. We had to take a pause on wedding planning due to some family health issues, and Catarina was the ONLY wedding planner who checked in with us periodically and continued to send well wishes. Once we picked wedding planning back up, there was no question in our mind they were the right people.

Catarina, Pedro and Ana made every step of the planning process in the last year so easy. They got to know us, what we liked and didn't like, and put together the most perfect venue proposals and vision boards - we were in awe. When we went to visit Lisbon (once to see venues, once to do tastings and hair & make up), they worked with our very minimal time to fit every single thing in. They made choosing vendors so easy for us, giving us 4-5 options for each, their pricing and instagrams so we could make informed decisions. They were ALWAYS available on whatsapp for anything we needed. When things evolved and we had to change things (like due to the weather), somehow they came up with even better ideas for alternatives so we weren't upset about the need to pivot but continued to be even more excited. There wasn't a single time the entire year that I was stressed about the wedding, which I know is a massive rarity for brides and all of that credit goes to Catarina, Pedro and Ana.

On the actual wedding day - wow. The vision they had promised came to life and more. I really was able to enjoy the moment and didn't worry about a single detail. One of our venues' management wasn't as ideal, but the reality is I never noticed, because Catarina, Pedro and Ana were so on top of everything, they made problems go away before I knew about them. After the wedding, so many of the guests commented on how everything was run extremely smoothly and that we must have done a ton of work. The reality is, we put our faith in Catarina, Pedro and Ana, and they went above and beyond to give us the wedding of our dreams.

I can't say enough incredible things about Catarina, Pedro and Ana at Wedding Planner and Curator. I am beyond thrilled that we decided to work with them, and after working so closely for over a year, I truly view them as friends. We cannot recommend our wedding planning team highly enough. From the very beginning, they were incredibly professional, organized, and attentive, helping us bring together a multi-day, multicultural wedding in Lisbon at the beautiful Pestana Palace and Vandelli Gardens. Planning an event of this scale, with so many different traditions, vendors, moving pieces, and details, could have easily felt overwhelming — but they made the entire process feel seamless.

What truly stood out was the combination of their professionalism and their warmth. The entire team was so pleasant, approachable, and genuinely invested in making the experience special for us. They were always on top of everything, anticipating what needed to happen next and quietly handling the details behind the scenes. Because of them, we were able to actually be present and enjoy our wedding days rather than worrying about logistics.

They were also exceptionally thorough. They didn't simply coordinate with our vendors — they actively checked details, followed up, and made sure everything was being delivered as promised. On several occasions, they even caught mistakes or discrepancies from vendors before they became problems, which we appreciated immensely. That level of attention to detail gave us an incredible sense of confidence and peace of mind.

We are so grateful to the entire team for making such an important and complex celebration feel effortless. Their professionalism, organization, warmth, and dedication were truly exceptional, and we would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding — especially a multi-day or multicultural celebration. They allowed us to focus on what mattered most: celebrating with our families and friends and enjoying every moment of the experience.

Catarina and Pedro were amazing! They went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend everything we had dreamed of. They thought of every detail, were always incredibly patient and accommodating, and handled every request with a genuine willingness to make it happen.  

Their recommendation of Torre de Palma was also perfect. It captured exactly the mood and feeling we had envisioned for our special weekend!

They were also incredibly thoughtful when it came to negotiating prices and finding solutions that made each element feel reasonable, while never compromising on the experience. Their care and dedication made such a difference throughout the entire process.

We planned a three day destination wedding weekend in Lisbon fr om New York, and Catarina, Pedro, and the WPC team executed every hour of it beautifully.

The weekend had a lot of moving parts. A welcome cocktail on Saturday (+added pop up event on Friday), the ceremony and reception on Sunday, and brunch on Monday, with guests arriving from multiple countries and a full roster of vendors to coordinate across catering, décor, florals, music, photography, and print. WPC managed all of it. They ran vendor communication in Portuguese so we never had to, they built and held the timeline, and they handled the hundred small decisions in the final week that would have completely swallowed us.

On the wedding day itself, the execution was the thing I keep coming back to. Everything landed exactly wh ere it was supposed to, exactly when it was supposed to. The room turned over on schedule, every music cue hit, the ceremony flowed, and all of our signage and details were placed and styled without a single question sent our way. Guests kept telling us how effortless the whole weekend felt, which is the highest compliment you can pay a planning team, because effortless is the hardest thing to manufacture.

I work in marketing and events professionally and I am about as Type A as a client can get. WPC met that standard and then went past it. They were with us to the bitter end, always warm, always calm, always all love and light.

If you are planning a wedding in Portugal, especially from abroad, book them. We are already planning to work with them again on events beyond the wedding.

We hired Catarina and the team for our wedding in summer 2026 in Sintra. They've taken over everything from initial concept brainstorming, planning the schedule, onboarding, and communicating with vendors and caterers, up to website creation and guest communication.
