Open The Door, led by Opi, made our surrealist dream wedding feel effortless and unforgettable.
From the start, they truly listened. They took our inspiration—and everything they learned about us, individually and as a couple—and turned it into wedding magic. We felt confident in the team every step of the way.
The creative process was thoughtful and inspiring, and the execution on the day was otherworldly.
1. The ceremony felt like a dream, with every detail carrying meaning.
2. Spaces shifted seamlessly, like walking through chapters of a story.
3. Guests are still talking about the florals, lighting, music, and the immersive atmosphere.

You guys are amazing at what you do, and I can’t recommend Open the Door events enough if you are considering them for your wedding! It really was the best day ever and having Opi and Alba there took out any stress so we could just be present with our loved ones. It was also really cool giving up some creative freedom, as we got so many amazing surprises, which made it even more special. Thanks for everything, you guys are the best!
When we started planning our wedding 15,000 kilometers away from home, my first step was to frantically search for wedding planner portfolios. The magic of the OTD team is the incredible group of creatives they whip together. They seek out talent that they can dream alongside and the work they produce feels unique, like a work of art. Our day was so stunningly beautiful, and truly felt made-for-us, not a copy of something each vendor had done before. (I mean have you seen our photos?!)
At the center is Opi, collecting and curating with an impeccable eye, that shown through on our wedding day.
From the very beginning, the aesthetics of the day were important to me (I work in fashion, so I’m visual!), and even though our wedding vision was different than some of OTD’s previous work, I connected deeply with Opi’s approach and taste level! Her ability to take the details we share with her and craft them into a full concept is a sight to behold.
We’ve been told time and time again by friends that our wedding was the best they’ve ever been to (we think so to!), and that it felt like “us”, an extension of our dinner parties we love to throw at our home in NYC.
A few pieces of advice I wish someone would have told me:
#1 Hire OTD early in your process! We went through the venue search on our own, as we weren’t sure we’d land in Spain. We loved our venue, it was perfect for our day (and they recommended Opi, so it was meant), but it would have saved us a lot of headaches to start with the team! There are so many questions you’d never think to ask, and the venue is the basis for everything else you do.
#2 Trust the process and try to let go a bit! If you’re considering hiring this team, you clearly have great taste. But part of the magic happens when you hand over insignificant details to the professionals. You don’t need to see every fabric swatch and glass used. Curate mood boards, be clear with what you like and dislike, and then let the team do their job! You’ll be so glad you did. I’m 99% sure there are some details that I would have switched if I saw one by one, but when tied together in the final vision, they were PERFECT, and I would have been wrong.
Thank you, thank you, thank you again to Opi and the team. Not only were we blown away by how beautiful our weekend was, but by your kindness and caring. This is the team you want in your corner!

Opi had an ability to make us feel like guests of honor rather than hosts, all while creating the space for our love to overflow. We were constantly in awe by design elements and able to be fully present because we had complete trust in her and the whole Open the Door team.
I could go on and on about her creativity and design talents, but you’ve seen the photos… :) What you might not see is the seamless coordination and planning that goes on to bring these visions to life. The whole OTD team is outstanding - professional, caring and fun; and every vendor we worked with was exceptional. We knew it when we booked the services but it was confirmed by nearly every guest gushing about it since. From the most delicious food, or wildly unique flowers, to later receiving stunning photos and heart melting videos; Opi’s talent has a ripple effect of attracting an impressive collection of creative people.
There’s a silly saying “if you want to enjoy a wedding, be a guest at someone else’s” but that couldn’t be further from the truth for us. We truly had the wedding/party/festival-of-love of our dreams and Opi is at the center of gratitude.
The only thing better than being her client is now we get to call her a friend.
