20 years I started Amy Abbott Events almost 15 years ago after moving to Los Cabos and realizing there was a space for someone who could bridge cultures, speak the language, and truly guide couples through the experience of planning a destination wedding. My background isn’t the traditional “I went to school for event planning” story; it was born from being resourceful, resilient, and saying yes to helping people celebrate. That first wedding was modest compared to the multi-day events we produce today, but it inspired me. I saw how much impact thoughtful planning, honest communication, and a calm presence could have on a couple’s experience. What inspired me then is what still inspires me now: the ability to create not just a beautiful event, but a sense of trust and joy for families who have invited me to be a part of one of the most important days of their lives.

Vallarta ,Jessica couldn’t have made our experience any smoother. From the beginning ,on our first zoom call we knew we made the right choice. Jessica was very personable, understanding, thoughtful,and just a delight ,we knew instantly she would be that extra special sparkle to our big day. Even though we live in Europe, Jessica put our mind at ease with knowing she could make all of our decisions/visions, just everything become possible. She was even able to visit the Villa location we selected in person to make sure it would be just as perfect as what we saw from the online pictures as though our schedules didn’t allow us to at that particular moment , just from that thoughtful gesture once again we were reassured of what an amazing person we have taking care of our once in a lifetime experience, we knew that Jessica was going to make our weekend magical and stress free! We couldn’t have done this without her !It was a true blessing to have her as our planner. She turned our ideas into reality with grace and expertise,Her talent ,professionalism,and attention to detail made our wedding weekend unforgettable ,we are endlessly grateful. While weddings in 2025 come with a steep price tag, we were thrilled that Amy and Ximena kept us *exactly* on budget. That’s because nobody knows the Cabo vendor network like Amy Abbott Events!! If you choose this team, you will be in very, very good hands.
Even with hiccups in the journey (our welcome dinner venue had unexpected long-term construction two months before), every bump was navigated quickly. New venue with two months notice? No problem! And, we were so happy with the new place that it ended up being the tiniest blip on the radar. And this is how everything went: every step in the process, even the unexpected ones, were met with a plan. That is what you can count on with this world class team.
We will truly never have the words to express how flawless our weekend was from start-to-end. Ximena made sure that we were involved in every detail and we fine tuned everything to make it exactly what we wanted. She never settled and always stayed so patient and attentive to everything we asked for.
I could go on and on and on, but I will wrap with this: Amy Abbott Events was the single best decision we made planning our wedding. They will treat you like family, radiate joy in the process, and give you a wedding so special you will carry that treasure for life.
Not only was everything beautifully executed—from the welcome party to the reception—but the entire planning process was seamless thanks to her thoughtful and caring approach. She truly listened to our daughter’s vision and brought it to life with such elegance and flair.

Ivette went over and above with all aspects of the planning as well as the implementation of the events. Ivette’s organization, follow up and communication were outstanding. Ivette also provided exceptional service all three days for the wedding weekend and there was no detail ever left out.
