The Correio-Mor Palace owes its name to Luís Gomes da Mata, named Correio-Mor in the time of Philip II. This role has been held for around 200 years by the same family. The Palace was designed by the Italian architect António Canevari in the 17th century. XVIII, and is one of the most notable farms on the outskirts of Lisbon for its elegant decoration. In 1967 it was classified as a Heritage Site of Public Interest. In the outer space of the Palace we find a protected Mediterranean forest, waterfalls and French-style boxwood gardens. The surroundings of this palace are unique due to the cadence of the woods full of avenues and gardens and inside the rooms where tiles, stucco by Giovanni Grossi and paintings by José da Costa Negreiros stand out. 15 minutes from the center of Lisbon, this space combines a unique environment, with a Baroque-style Palace that accommodates events of all sizes.
