Just wow! We are blown away with the photos Amy took and can’t stop sharing them with everyone. She was so great and easy to work with. She completely understood the type of pictures we wanted to capture and gave us great direction so it wasn’t awkward (we hate having our pictures taken normally).

I would without doubt recommend Amy Lou for any type of photos but especially family, couple or wedding shoots. we had our engagement photos done by her and we was made to feel so comfortable during our shoot- despite us both not being the most confident in front of the camera!
we discussed at the end about editing and the types of edits and themes we like- the outcome from the photos was just stunning.
we have already booked back in with her for our wedding photos too! thanks for the photos Amy!!

I cannot put into words how impressed we were with Amy, I was a little apprehensive booking from so far away (we live in South America) but she was so communicative and calming. I was also a bit worried as our style was a lot more relaxed and informal than the pictures I saw popping up just the weeks before our wedding but that feeling couldn’t have been more misplaced. She listened to our brief - some portraits and all the rest candid photography, I am also not the most comfortable in front of the camera and I couldn’t believe how quickly the portraits were taken - this was important as we wanted to maximise time with our guests. We have only had the preview but we are in love with the results, Amy has captured some beautiful moments and I couldn’t have imagined them turning out more perfect. On the day itself Amy was a great support prompting me when I lost track of time (it was very DIY) and also other than when she checked a couple of details I barely realised she was there - our guests have also said the same. I can’t wait to see the complete final results - I cannot recommend Amy’s services enough!

Amy was our photographer 2/7/22 and she was absolutely amazing. She provided us with LOTS of stunningly edited photos of our day... making it very difficult to narrow down when making our album. They have all have a beautiful, whimsical look to them. She was able to make us feel so at ease getting our photos taken, it felt so natural.

We couldn't have wished for a better photographer for our wedding! From the moment we contacted Amy she was friendly, professional and we felt like she genuinely cared about us as a couple and capturing this in the photographs. Mainly we had phone calls and skyped because we don’t live locally, but Amy met us for lunch when we visited Newcastle. She was very easy to contact and quick to respond. She was more than happy to discuss particular shots we wanted and make slight changes to her editing (as long as it did not change her beautiful signature style). She was a calming influence on the day and we did not feel at all camera shy - in fact we hardly noticed she was there! She was very attentive, helped button up my dress even, and I believe it was her who asked the venue to turn on their signature fire fountain (I had completely forgot!) for a shot we really wanted. The shots themselves are stunning, so natural and romantic, and really captured the essence of us. She snapped all the small details of the day, things that I missed at the time, as well as plenty of our guests. She released social media snippets quickly, with the preview images a few weeks later and the full set within a few months. We received the most beautifully presented box with our images in the post. Amy has put together a gorgeous wedding album, which I cannot wait to see in person! Again she was happy to make slight amendments if we preferred one image to another. I honestly can’t recommend Amy highly enough!
Amy's level of care, before, during and after our wedding, was exemplary. Her attention to detail shines through in our wonderful photos - we are totally thrilled with them. A pleasure to have Amy capturing our special day.

We''ve worked with Amy a few times and cannot praise this lady enough. We've seen that she not only makes the bride and groom feel at ease but also ourselves as the videographer, which is a rare quality! With such a charismatic and easygoing attitude, Amy's personality is infectious and it feels like its your best friend taking your pictures and the wedding day feels like a breeze. Then the outcome of her photos are just outstanding, documenting the day so beautifully and in artistic detail. If you're looking, just book her because you won't be disappointed!!
