Francesco was exceptional from start to finish. I am based in the US and was planning a surprise proposal in Tropea, a place I had never visited before and with no existing knowledge of Italian/local photographers, locations, or logistics. I initially reached out to Francesco cold, and from our very first interaction he was incredibly responsive and helpful in walking me through his portfolio, rates, and available packages. We worked together to tailor a package specifically to what I wanted, and he took the time to have an initial call with me to understand the proposal and engagement shoot plans.
What really stood out was how much local knowledge and logistical support Francesco provided throughout the planning process. Since I was organizing everything remotely, I needed as much information as possible about the locations and how the proposal could realistically be executed. Francesco provided recommendations for proposal locations throughout Tropea, including specific pins, photos of the locations, and examples of proposal photographs taken at each spot. His familiarity with the area and experience with proposals made the planning process significantly easier and gave me confidence that we were choosing the right location and approach despite having never been to Tropea.
On the day itself, Francesco was extremely flexible and professional. We communicated throughout the day, including adjusting the schedule in real time when I was running behind. He also brought an assistant photographer who contributed significantly to capturing different perspectives and supporting the shoot.
The final product exceeded our expectations. Everything was delivered as outlined in the contract, and Francesco even provided more photographs than the contracted quantity. The quality and creativity of the images were outstanding, particularly the use of natural light, depth of field, foreground and background composition, and the vibrant colors of Tropea. His photographic style was exactly what I had hoped for, and my fiancée absolutely loved the final photographs.
This was also during peak wedding and photography season in Tropea, yet Francesco was able to accommodate us, execute the plan seamlessly, and deliver a genuinely beautiful result. From helping me navigate the planning process remotely to being flexible on the day and ultimately delivering an exceptional set of photographs, Francesco provided far more than photography alone. We could not be happier with the experience or the final result and would highly recommend Francesco to anyone looking for a photographer in Italy, especially for proposals, engagements, and weddings.

I'm perfecionist and not an easy client to glad, but Francesco's work is astonishing. There's some photographers out there that have great photos, but are terrible comunicating or just do the work fast and goes away
