Music was always at the centre of my household growing up. My parents would host parties at the our house almost weekly, booking a DJ who would set up turntables and disco lights in the corner of our living room, basically turning it into a club. My Mum would thrust me into the middle of the dance floor when my favourite Michael Jackson songs were being played and encouraged everyone to watch me attempt the moonwalk! I always remember being enamoured by the DJ's ability to affect how everyone felt - looking back at it now, those moments were pivotal in shaping my career as a DJ. I was also lucky to have an older brother who started DJ'ing off of the back of our house parties too - watching him start to achieve success definitely gave me the confidence to follow in his footsteps.
